Description

Ultimately, the best cat litters for your home are the litters your cats use! With an added all-natural plant derivative for enhanced odor control, this scoopable clumping cat litter is ideal for homes with two or more cats. It is lightweight, soft in texture and has clumping-on-contact abilities. Unlike clay cat litter, World's Best uses a patented process to compress naturally absorbent corn into concentrated granules that trap odor and form tight clumps on contact, so a little goes a long way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I was in search of an 'easy' litter for my husband to use while I'm in the hospital. I've been using tidy cats for the longest time and noticed a definite change in its ability to produce tight clumps. Not to mention the dust, my husband has asthma. I looked into the Chrystal's, but when I called chewys to question what I had read the customer service person mentioned worlds best cat litter. I always thought it to be a bit pricey, I have 7 cats (ps my house doesn't smell). But in comparison with my pros and cons of crystal cat pellets I decided to try. I love this litter! I have not experienced dust, I think the cats are ok with it - no accidents. Smell, of course when someone poops, the smell lingers a bit, then all is good. The clumping is great, even with my husbands shaking of the litter scoop I think there'll be no crimson falling in. You can flush it, I haven't yet. My plastic bags are much lighter and I don't waste litter in trying to pick up crumbs. I'm sold on this stuff!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odor control not good I work at a vet's office and we buy this so I figured it must be good. I switched over from a popular "scented" competitor but not long afterwards our apartment started to smell musky. It's definitely related to the litter, which itself is relatively odorless, but must release smell on contact with pee/poo. We scoop whenever we see anything, or at least once a day. The apartment also gets mopped/scrubbed every day, besides, the problem with the smell only started when we changed litter. It's not the cat herself, I pick her up and smell her regularly to be sure... The litter is also less dense than the other one so my cat kicks up more of it onto the floor when she's burying. It's definitely better for the environment (corn, recyclable, decomposable etc.) but my apartment is so small and I can't tolerate the wave of musky odor every time I come in from outside. Maybe it would be okay in a bigger place with better circulation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly the best, at the best price this really is the best all-around litter. No dust (by this I mean the nasty, heavy dust that clumping clay litter produces which gets stuck in your lungs - there is still "dust" which gets on your cats paws...and face, if your special snowflake is as creative with their digging techniques as mine are), no awful scent, controls odor (as long as your cat actually buries their contribution), clumps really well and doesn't stick to the bottom of the box. As for the different formulations, the green bag and the red bag are about the same from what I've experienced - get whichever happens to be cheaper at the moment (they tend to go back and forth and be about $1 away from each other). I don't recommend the purple bag, as the lavender scent was a bit strong and not in a good way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long lasting with minimal tracking I've been using some form of pine litter for 20+ years - pellets, cobble, clumping, etc. and have always liked its fresh smell and biodegradability. World's Best has improved on the natural litter concept with this corn-based litter. It forms tight clumps that are easily removed without falling apart. No globs of concrete-like stuff in corners of the box after a few days either. Considering its sand-like texture, it tracks far less than pine and lasts longer b/c of clumping capability. It controls odor better than any litter I've used yet. Zero urine smell with 3 cats. The solid waste is detectible but to far less a degree than other litters I've tried. The cats adapted to it immediately (and one is 15!). I put pine litter in one box and WB in the other. WB was preferred by all. The only reason I ranked it **** instead of ***** is that the litter itself has a very subtle fermented smell, likely BC of the corn base. It's not a problem for me, but I do miss the fresh pine aroma. Considering WB's additional benefits tho, the trade offs are well worth it. If you've been using clay litter, you will probably give it ten *!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product! I was fed up with all the dust and having to chisel clumps off the bottom of the litter box with the traditional clay litters. I also tried the lightweight litter and that was even worse. I tried this product out of desperation. Much to my amazement, this product lives up to it's name. I was a little worried that my cats might not take to it but they did so immediately. The clumps don't break apart or stick to the litter box. Odor is significantly reduced and I bought the unscented litter. Dust is virtually non-existent. The price is higher than most but you don't go through nearly as much as other litters so I think in the long run it even's out. If you haven't tried it before, give it a try. You have nothing to lose and might be as pleased as I am about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Natural, minimal dust and tracking! No more respiratory issues! I love this product! I have five cats and prefer natural cat litters as opposed to those with heavy perfumes because of my allergies and respiratory issues. I had been using another natural cat litter but was having problems with sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose every time I cleaned the litter boxes. The tracking and dust with my previous litter left me cleaning more than just my cats business. I was frustrated and decided to give this litter a try after all of the great reviews. This litter is a golden yellow color and smells earthy and sweet. It has minimal dust compared to other brands I've used and much less tracking through the house. It has superb clumping and controls odor well. It lasts far longer than clay litter and my cats took to it immediately. So, although there is no perfect cat litter, this is the closest product to perfection that I and my cats have encountered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expected Great but got SMELLY--didn't cover smell at ALL Wow---I don't think I've ever written a bad review in my life, but I HAD to about this cat litter. I have 2 new kittens and had previously been using Fresh Step with Fabreeze litter and it was fine, never had any problem with smell...but while shopping on Chewy.com for food, I saw "World's Best Cat Litter" and thought wow...I should try this! Reviews seemed good, but when I got it and switched over to this litter...it was only a matter of 3 hours before the whole room where our litter box is stunk! I was shocked, and figured one of the cats just hadn't covered his droppings. Fast forward 2 more days -- our whole downstairs now smells....I literally have to go scoop out the cat's droppings EVERY time they go because the litter does not cover ANY of the smell...it's nasty. I does clump well--but that's about it. Wish I could get my $ back! DO NOT BUY THIS LITTER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade from Single to Multi I began using the regular World's Best Cat Litter with my previous kitty before she passed, and she and I really liked it. (Prior to that, we had been on the pine pellets, but I stopped using that because I was tired of dumping pee-soaked sawdust and it did nothing to mitigate the smell of solid waste.) When I adopted two more cats over a year later, then I started to notice how badly the clumps would all apart. It didn't seem to take long for the entire area to develop a lingering cat-pee smell, even after cleaning the litter box, because those clumps broke up so easily and the urine-soaked particles stayed constant until I changed out the litter entirely. Eventually the lightbulb came on to move up to the multiple cat formula, and it's a game-changer. I really appreciate how the charcoal activates when they use it and it really controls the odor, and clumps like a champ. I'm still transitioning from the original formula, so there is a mix, but I only expect it to get better as the composition changes entirely to the multiple cat formula.
