I searched for a lighter dust solution for litter - I have asthma and was having problems with the amount of dust in many of the litters I was trying - my kitchen, bedroom and other rooms were covered in dust & I was using inhaler, nebulizer and still I was having difficulty. After some research I found this brand and I am so glad! My elderly Maine Coon took the change in stride while my always cautious short hair took some time and mixing of litter in one box before he trusted it. (He's a late adopter to most of life!) Now he is fascinated by the flushing of the litter - and he's happier with cleaner litter. I breath better and it is easier to carry these bags one way, flushing the used litter. It lasts longer, about a month with 2 cats in 3 boxes then I clean them out - one box is not used as often so I can often go longer with that one. While it is a bit more expensive, for me it is worth the cost and it's saved with better health, happier cats and a less back pain carrying heavy litter to the trash.
My kitten came from the shelter with a smaller bag of this and I liked it for the week it lasted that I decided to purchase this giant bag. Not sure if it's a quality control issue, but I find the new bag I purchased has pretty poor clumping abilities with urine. It will make a seemingly fine clump of urine, but upon the lightest shake with a litter scope, small bits will break off. The broken-off pieces are very noticeable--more yellow than the rest--but would take hours if I were to pick each one out by hand, so I give up. So usually by the end of the week (I dump out all of the litter weekly), the litter will have poor odor control and millions of these broken-off urine clumps, which is very annoying. Will try to use this big bag of litter for as long as I can stand this, but I will not buy again.
I was in the market for new litter. I always used Natures Miracle Corn Cob Litter but it wasn’t lasting as long as i’d like and was not the best odor control. I heard this one was amazing but I was not that impressed. The smell of the litter itself is terrible, then combine that with urine and feces and i find myself struggling to even want to scoop the box. The longevity is great and the clumping ability is excellent but i cannot get past the smell. Maybe its just me. Its also EXTREMELY dusty. Thats my honest review. I might try their clay litter and see if i like it better.
I thought I would be smart and try a different, less costly product, but before I finished the container, and gagging profusely each time I cleaned out the cat box, I decided never, Never, NEVER to use anything else EXCEPT World's Best. It isn't worth it. All the yucky clumps now immediately and STAYS clumped, it's light-weight even when kitties use the box, and the odor is very minimal. I have four (4) kitties so I get plenty of practice cleaning out litter boxes. I know this stuff :)
This is by far the best kitty litter I have ever used and my cat that has been so difficult to train in the litter pans absolutely loves this litter, my only problem is when I went to carry it in the house it had a huge hole in the bag and I didn’t realize until it was too late so I had to purchase ANOTHER huge bag and all is well now. Just a slight inconvenience that probaly wasn’t chewy’s fault! But darn it was like throwing money in the toilet..
I was looking for a natural and healthier litter after reading about how horrible clay and crystal litter is for your health and your cats health. I love this litter though. There’s barely any dust and it’s low tracking. I love that it clumps and doesn’t fall apart in tiny annoying pieces. I’ve been using it for several days and so far no smells! I highly recommend this litter! It’s great.
The bag has instructions about how to slowly migrate your kitty over to this corn-based litter, we ignored all of that and just set up a second litter box filled with this litter next to the existing one and our cat jumped right in. We've been using this litter for about a week now and it appears to generate less dust than traditional litter but the smaller size of the granules is more likely to get stuck between paws and dragged around the house. Highly recommend a large litter mat in front of the box to try and limit the exodus. Litter has a slight corn-y smell to it, it's not particularly strong or off-putting. Overall we're happy with it - our primary goal was to find a less dusty solution for the litter box and this litter has accomplished that.
i have tried all sorts of cat litters and this is by far my favorite. you don’t smell the cat boxes at all for most of the month (obviously with regular scooping). when you do start to smell them, it’s time to throw out everything and start again. about once a month you replace all the litter in the box (instead of just scooping the waste) and start over. that system has saved me a world of frustration. i have many friends that come to my apartment and the (covered) cat boxes are in the living room (i have a very small place and no where else to put them); i always get comments from people that they don’t smell the boxes at all. this truly is the worlds best cat litter.
This is my first bag, so far the smell has been minimal while I only noticed dust when I’m pouring it in the pan. I switched to this after the wood litter I was using wouldn’t work in my litter robot. I haven’t noticed any mold growing in the collection try of my litter robot like I’ve seen mention of in these reviews. My only con would be the price, why does litter have to cost so much
My multi-cat household has used grass litters like Smart Cat for six or eight years. Sadly, my newest kitten comes running out of the litter box with tears streaming down his adorable face and a good 10 minutes of sneezing. Plus the congestion that results from his reaction to grass seed litters. It’s so unfortunate and has caused me to be on the hunt for a replacement product. So I read about corn based litters and the health properties. I then purchased Worlds best to give it a try. Here is what I found: it instantly smells like corn, it’s very dense and heavy compared to grass seed, it’s got more texture, and my cats don’t like it At All! It’s been 2 weeks. One box I mixed it into the grass, one is only the corn, and one is still just grass. The corn only has. Even used a couple times by my kitten and he has no allergic reaction but he stopped using it and like every other cat in my household uses the grass only box. If it’s occupied the occasional mixture box gets some action but minimal. It’s also pricey and more importantly it’s just heavy. It’s hard for me to pour into the boxes and I won’t ever buy it again. It’s not cat (Siamese and Orientals) approved making it not worth the expense. I still have half a bag and will see if a shelter will accept something that is open. Litter, food changes and so on really are costly to test out.
