I've been using this for years it's been very reliable. I still get no ammonia smell. But with the last bag I I noticed little black things in the litter that weren't there ever before and I agree with a couple of other reviews here aren't used to clump very successfully and hold together and now it seems to just fall apart which is very disappointing. I hope they go back to whatever formula they were using previously. But I still think this is better than anything else I've tried. It only tracks because I have a large cat and when she flicks the litter it goes outside of the box but it doesn't travel further than the bathroom
Hoping the company will see this review and make adjustments: Not sure why this litter is acting different than previous years but assume it’s a matter of corn by product sourcing. Whatever they used before worked great, it clumped normal, absorbed the urine odor, was easy to scoop and flush. Now when a cat does their pee like normal the pellets disintegrate into a corn mash, which can be tricky to scoop if it starts falling apart, and when it does cats are more able to track it beyond the box- not at all what it used to do before. Perhaps the pellets aren’t made as dense? Seems easy to remedy and make like before. Was one of the best products for cats out there and hope it remains so. Would still recommend over clumping or regular dry litter due to those being made with various dry powdery toxic substances that cause cancers in cats and people, is expensive, non flushable and bad for the environment.
I've been using this product for YEARS and with 4 cats I was always very happy with it. I will order it again but I've been unhappy lately because it seems to be arriving in a much smaller grind so that now it falls apart and doesn't clump as well as it used to. I have to completely change my boxes much more frequently. Please World's Best, in order to stay in that category, please change your product back to what it was, and keep me as a customer!
I am fostering a litter of transitional kittens, between three and four weeks. World's Best worked for them initially because I didn't have to worry about them eating it. However, they didn't know how to scratch in it and as a result, a lot of poop was deposited on the floor. Fine sand is a more attractive litter to cats, especially to teach them to use a litter box. It is also prohibitively expensive for a multi cat household.
I only just bought my first bag of this, so maybe it used to be better, but I'm not impressed at all. When I opened it, I knew it wouldn't be a good experience because it already smelled very strongly of corn and there was a lot of dust on my hands and pants just from pouring it. After my cat used it once, it smelled terrible, the urine smell was not covered at all and the poop smell was even worse. After 4 days, it was noticeably smelly to the point that I could smell it from the next room and I had to change it before it even made it a week. It also doesn't clump in any way that's scoop-able, it just cements in a big layer on the bottom. Like I said, maybe this product used to be decent before, but I won't be getting another bag.
This is absolutely not dust free. This litter is SIGNIFICANTLY more dustier then regular clay litter; when scooping, pouring, and when my cat digs/buries. My cat has dust all over her paws after she uses her box. It also does not do well with urine. I have found numerous clumps of what looks like wet cardboard in her box, so I smell her urine more then I ever have. I didn’t think scooping could get this much worse.
I started using this after learning that I was allergic to the clay type. It is soft on kitty’s paws and clumps just as well as the clay without that thick odor and there is no cloud of dust. I began purchasing from Chewy during the pandemic but stayed because the cost is significantly less than the physical stores. I highly recommend this litter.
This really is the world’s best cat litter I have used this cat litter for years now It simply is the best out of all the ones we tried through the years We have two cats Hardly tracks anything at all through the bathroom and no dust Highly recommend all the different types they have This one and lotus in the blue bag are my favorite Thank you Chewy for making my life so much simpler Delivering it directly to my door I would like to comment about Chewy employees Whenever I call Your employees are extremely friendly and helpful It is always a pleasure to make a phone call and ask a question
When we got our first Maine Coon in 1991 breeder said this was the litter to use and we have stayed with it. Never had a problem. No dust. Clumps beautifully. Never bothered any of our cats. Why switch? Believe it is made from corn so natural to boot. Love it.
I had been previously using a generic version of this litter and I have to say the name brand is so much better. The odor control on both were the same but the name brand Worlds Best litter clumps so much better and I have an easier time scooping it. I am never going back to the generic version. I am so much more happy with this litter.
