Cool name, thought they were on to something...alas, cats won't touch the food if this is in it.

They say this contains "special nutrients and herbal extracts," nutraceuticals, plant nutrients, and micronutrients like our cats and dogs would wild eat, that this is a "very special food." You know, I am finding this to be true. Didn't think they would eat anything with this in it. Lil' "Archetype Finicats" that they are, keeping me on the brink of crazed trying to satisfy their wet food whims. Dry, no problem. They are nutty for it because I blend about 8 or 9 kibble products together, that I change up frequently, and it's like delving into a box of Whitman's Sampler every day for them. The package contents are divided into chunks, shreds, and powder. The chunks will have to go to the possum. Plan also to order eventually the other 3 formulas, and to keep feeding it. … more

This is my cat's favorite, so I regularly order this product. However, I got a terrible quality one and my cat does not eat anymore!! When I opened it, I noticed right away that the quality was not the same, and it's really hard to chew. Even the color is different. Very DISAPPOINTED!!!

This product seemed really affordable and I was excited to try it with our cats. Neither are particularly picky, but they were not interested in eating this food. The food comes out in a weird combination of chunks and powder. The chunks are too hard for them to chew, but they won't eat the powder even when it's mixed with water into a gravy. The powder also ends up making a huge mess because they knock it around trying to get to the chunks. I won't be ordering it again.

Wysong Archetype Chicken formula was accepted readily by my dogs. I feed mainly freeze dried food and recently bought some Wysong to try out. Both dogs like it and I will buy again when I renew my food supply. It smells good and has a lot of healthy supplements that I don't have to add in from my supply of supplements that I have on hand. Feeding is easy when I give Wysong Archetype Chicken. Bowls are clean and the dogs are satisfied. Bigger bags would be nice but the price is not bad and I could buy a few bags that would equal other brands for amount and price. I am happy with the new addition of Wysong foods.

This came in my regular order of kitty litter and it managed to get under all the kitty litter. Consequently all the nuggets were smashed into a rough meal. On one hand it makes it easier to sprinkle over his food but we lost the ability to use it as a single treat. Not sure if I would order it again.

Fizz loves this. It's real food but he thinks it's a treat, so all the better. Sometimes when he is a bit reluctant to eat something, I top dress it with Archetype, and down it all goes. Marigold, who is fussier, can live without it, but Fizz is all in on this. It's not cheap, but because it's such good stuff and because I am nuts-in-love with Fizz, I am willing to spend the money. Fizz has been an Archetype guy since he was a baby. (He's now 5, but more like the terrible 2's.) Oh yeah, Fizz and Marigold are both cats, but I'm guessing dogs would like this, too.

I use this as a topper for the Wysong dry. My dog loves it. 3 bags in so far.

If my cats get finicky about their food I sprinkle this on top, add a little water and mix. The food then disappears!
