Not satisfied with simply going grain-free, Wysong Epigen is the first dry kibble diet formulated with a patent-pending process that enables them to create a truly starch-free formula that closely mirrors the diet your pal was biologically designed to eat. It contains unprecedented levels of meat—61% protein and 10% fat—along with real fruits and vegetables, as well as beneficial probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Key Benefits
  • Ultra-high protein, meat-based diet is formulated to optimize your furry friend’s wellness with 61% protein and real venison meal as the first ingredient.
  • Patent-pending extrusion process creates a truly starch-free diet that closely mirrors the diet she was biologically designed to eat.
  • Also features real fruits and vegetables, along with beneficial probiotics, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals; rich omega fatty acids help support healthy skin and a lustrous coat.
  • Made in the USA at Wysong’s manufacturing facilities with domestically-sourced, USDA and FDA-approved ingredients.
  • Serve as a complete meal, topper or incremental protein booster; also an ideal therapeutic aid for convalescence, strength enhancement, immune stimulation, weight loss, or any condition requiring a high-protein diet.

NOTE: Wysong Epigen is made with unprecedented protein levels and a highly nutrient-dense recipe that may not be right for all pets. It is very important that Epigen be introduced gradually as outlined in the Feeding Guidelines in order to help prevent digestive upset, especially when transitioning from a lower-protein diet or one that has been fed continuously over a long period of time.

  • Helps for itchy dogs.

    By on

My cairn needs grain-free food for her itchy coat and her stomach, but when I found starch free I was excited to see if starch was the real offender. Epigen really helped keep her scratching to a minimum and we've pretty much eliminated the yeast issues in her ears. I tried to switch back to a couple of grain-free foods after I put her on Apoquel and she started to scratch more so I know this food definitely helps with her itchiness. She's been on it for months now and still seeing good results. She gobbles it up, but she's a piglet so I can't say if it's good for picky eaters. :)

  • Wow! Picky dog likes it!

I have an very picky eater, He will delicately accept a hamburger, but walk away from a chicken breast! He likes beef and I wasn't sure how this would go, but Mixed with ground beef he is cleaning up his bowl and getting the nutrients that he would otherwise be missing ( He also avoids veggies unless they are cooked in broth)

  • Don't order!

    By on

I ordered Wysong's Epigen Venison twice. The first time my dogs and cats wouldn't touch it and I have a lab that eats EVERYTHING! I thought is might be a bad batch, so I ordered again at a different time and the same thing happened. I love Wysong, but not this type of food.

  • Both Cats & Dogs Love It

Originally bought for my overweight cat because it's low in carbs for a dry food. Plan to continue to buy it.

Cats and dogs both refused to eat these. My dogs never refuse any type of food. Turned up their noses. Will not buy again

  • "Enthusiastically Recommended" 5 Stars By Dog Food Advisor...

For a kibble, this is a great product. Every 3 months I change my animals main protein- venison AND starch -free? GREAT. I don't live in an area where venison is available. Rather surprised it's not more popular by that's okay by me- and my pets. I did read all the reviews on here before purchasing, on other sites, read ingredients too naturally. I didn't experience any of the negative issues others had but slow transition (add kefir or plain yogurt, or probiotics pill form) is key in my opinion but again, I change their protein source regularly. I add homemade bone broth to this, add blended veggies & fruits, calcium source, herbs, turmeric, etc as suggested by holistic vets for my dogs. My For a kibble, this is a great product. VERY happy healthy campers! Next order I'll need to add an additional bag! Two won't make it for the month :) I highly recommend this product also- as do my 60lb mix-breed dogs & significantly small cat! … more

  • Complete profile (grain- AND starch-free)

    By on

I'm a nutritionist and extraordinarily particular about the food I eat and give my pets. Grain-free AND starch-free is what is biologically appropriate for cats and dogs. Carb content should be under 10% in your pets food and this is the only food I've found which meets this. GI upset can occur with any diet change. (Bacteria present in one's GI tract is specific to food regularly eaten.) The less diverse the diet, the less diverse the bacteria and this is what leads to upset with diet change. Pumpkin purée will help with this (**NOT the pie mix!**) Rotate flavors for better diversity in gut flora, aka digestive bacteria.

  • A quaility product for both cats & dogs

I have 3 dogs, and 2 cats, all are fed a raw species appropriate diet. I do from time to time especially in the winter months supplement with a high quality, dry food. Wysong is by far the best dry food to feed, if you must feed dry. I have yet to find any dry food that comes close into comparison. I also love the fact that I can purchase the SAME food for all my crew, cats and dogs alike. I love that Wysong stands for quality and the effects of their products show in all my animals via their energy levels, their shinny coats, and most importantly their health and well being. • Very Unique!

    By on

You thought that label told you everything you needed to know about what you were feeding your pet - NOT! The HUGE amount of starch (aka. sugar) hidden in pet food should be a crime. And we can't figure out why our pets are so sick. Finally! Wysong has given us the answer. This food has actually given my poor dog a new lease on life. She's more alert with much more energy.
