An option for cats
By Critterwrangler on Dec 4, 2017
I have one cat with severe IBD who has the most difficulty digesting ... wait for it ... animal protein. I kept trying to find lower and lower amounts of protein in various foods, until I finally gave this vegan food a try. Bingo! She ate it happily and for once seemed to feel much better. I am still feeling my way through this issue, with my cat's health and happiness as the primary arbiter. But I do take issue with the "obligate" carnivore thing. I'll go with that, the day I see cat food made of birds and mice. Until then ... well, I've never seen a cat take down a cow or catch a tuna. Domesticated is domesticated, and it is "unnatural," as compared to wild animals, in most respects I have one cat with severe IBD who has the most difficulty digesting ... wait for it ... animal protein. Domesticated is domesticated, and it is "unnatural," as compared to wild animals, in most respects. So the real issue is whether our beloved felines are thriving -- and I figure there are as many ways to reach that goal as there are different cats with different challenges with different lifestyles with different owners. … more

Perfect for small dogs
By Buddha on Nov 16, 2017
At first i was feeding my dogs V-Dog mini bites, but with the $10 shipping cost it was getting pretty expensive for me (about $30) considering it was only lasting about a week. I was in search of a cheaper vegan dog food and came across Halo vegan dog food. Unfortunately they didnt have it in small bites and it was a bit difficult for my dogs to chew, especially my really tiny one! I ended up finding this one and it was a few dollars cheaper, since i also had to start getting a vegan stew to mix with their dry food, I needed to find the cheapest food possible since i was going to be spending more money. I ended up buying this as it was the cheapest option. I shouldve known since this is also a cat food as well! So far my dogs have been eating it and seem to be pretty ok with it. I heard the ingredients are pretty good too. Im pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it for anyone who has small vegan fur babies :) … more

My cat didnt like it
By Maddie on Nov 13, 2017
I tried really really hard with this food. I mixed it with things, I added water, I tried it all. But my cat simply does not like this food. I wish she did because its vegan but I will not be buying this again.

Surprised my cats liked it so quickly
By Flyha on Oct 26, 2017
They're a little finicky and have stomach issues... so I have to watch how much I feed them because they snarf this stuff down! I changed to vegan food as I read it was much better for the environment, so glad it's acceptable to my furry princesses.

Not for cats
By Teddy on Nov 30, 2017
I don't like this food. My cats won't eat it nor will i feed. Cats are not vegans. They are obligate carnivores.

I have been feeding my cats Wysong vegan dry food for years and have purchased multiple bags. I was disappointed when they were backordered but am glad they are available again. I will continue to buy.

Wheat Free and Vegan
By MrsKelley0308 on Jul 5, 2017
This is the first vegan kibble I've found that is also gluten free. My dog is highly sensitive to wheat, and another popular food that I thought was gluten/wheat free turned out to not be so, as it contains barley. He is doing so well on Wysong. Healthy, muscular, and all of his skin rashes/irritations are going away, and he is starting to smell and itch less---FINALLY!

Dual Happiness
By EDIAS on Jun 22, 2017
My dog and cat both love this food. I use it as a supplement to mix with their regular food, but I love knowing that this is vegetarian and full of healthy vitamins and minerals for them. It's hard to believe a cat can eat vegan (at least partially, anyway, since cats require protein from meat). This is a great product!
