Before using make sure that the bulb is fully screwed into a socket. Use a surge protector and a lamp stand to help with bulb longevity. Once you are ready to replace the bulb make sure that the socket is turned off and unplugged before removing the bulb. In case of broken bulbs do not attempt to remove as broken glass may be dangerous.

I don't like fluorescent light bulbs. It is too long for my lamp. I like flood lights in incandescent or led lights.
