Effective Litter With a Positive Impact
Yesterday's News is a safe and hygienic cat litter made from recycled material that includes old newspapers, magazines and phone directories. Instead of dumping these materials into a landfill, Yesterday's News repurposes them into an extremely absorbent litter with effective odor control and minimal tracking. Feel good about using a non-toxic, vet-recommended litter that is safe and healthy for your cat, your home and your environment.

A Healthy and Safe Litter
Besides being highly effective, Yesterday's News cat litter contains no harmful chemicals, making it a safe, non-toxic product for your cat. Your fur baby will readily accept the non-abrasive gentle paper pellets that are easy on his paw pads and won't stick to his fur. These pellets are also ideal for post-surgery cats who risk contamination from the fine particles found in traditional litter.
A Gentle Formula With Powerful Absorption
Effortlessly extend the life of your litter with Yesterday's News' sophisticated absorption technology, which soaks up three times the moisture by volume than traditional clay-based litter. Yesterday's News cat litter comes in Original, Softer Texture and Softer Texture Unscented formulas, so you can be sure that you will find the right litter for your kitty.

Breathe Easy, Live Well

Besides using recycled newspaper for their litter, Yesterday's News supports a healthy environment by partnering with environmentally conscious suppliers and engaging with local communities for paper-collection programs.

Do NOT Buy this Litter !!!
By LoyalChewyCustomer on Jan 7, 2021
Chewy Customer Service, This litter was completely worthless !!! It was nothing more than paper dust which left dust everywhere and accordingly, could not be used. The remaining litter was therefore disposed. A refund on the purchase would be appropriate. Regards, Dale

Smelly litter that becomes concrete
By SMK1 on Dec 11, 2020
WORSE LITTER EVER!!!! I highly recommend you don't use!! The scent is of a cheap perfume. Then when it this paper is mixed with urine, it's REALLY gross. Then.... if it is allowed to dry the least bit before scooping, it turns into concrete. Took forever to CHISEL it out of the pans.

Best litter ever
By chewycustomer on Nov 5, 2020
The vet recommended Yesterday's News for our cat. The only Yesterday's News that I could find was the unscented, clumping. It smelled, it was hard to tell the poop and pee from the litter. Awful. I tried another type that really wasn't any better. When I found that Chewy carried a scented clumping Yesterday's News I decided to try it. Best litter ever. A faint clean scent and the litter is a little lighter in color so you can actually tell the difference between litter and pee. I will be ordering this from Chewy regularly.

Not for my cat
By LYNDAMXD on Oct 25, 2020
I always use clumping sand, wanted something less dusty...I have a very large male cat and he tracked this all over the place because it stuck between his paws while digging, floors, beds, halls, he also ingested some of it, had him sick for a few days. I was sorry that it didn't work out for us, gave it to my neighbor. we'll stick with the sand. But I always order from CHEWY <3 <3

SO much loose tracking!
By jus90 on Jul 3, 2020
We've put off using this as our cat has been going through some changes in our family and we didn't want to add this to the mix. Well, he's now ready to use it and we did not realise how much tracking there would be! We are big fans of the regular newspaper pellet variety from Yesterday's News and have used it since he was a kitten. We thought this new product would be innovative and a game changer. After his first use tonight, we tipped it all back out into a bag and dumped it, vacuumed the entrance to his litter and tossed the remaining bag away. Not worth it, especially if you have a young baby in your family! Okay product

I received this Yesterday's News litter as a free sample to review. I will start off by saying the size I received was incredibly heavy. I couldn't move it alone, my husband had to help me so something minor to consider I guess. I love that it is dust free! I mixed it in with the existing litter I had to not freak out my cat. She was still a little hesitant at first but went just fine. I love that it is recycled paper. I don't think I would use this alone, i.e. I would continue mixing it with standard litter. The dark color does make it a little harder to see pee clumps but it's not a huge deal since I mixed it. Yesterday's News
By cobbkamala on May 8, 2020
It's A Light Litter With A Great Smell. I Used It For A Couple Of Days. When I Tried To Use Yesterday's News Cat Litter In My Rolling Litter Box It Wouldn't Work. I Need Regular Grain Type Of Cat Litter So When I Roll The Litter Box Forward The Non Clumped Litter Will Go Through The Slots In The Plastic Screen & The Clumped Litter Will Go In To The Tray On Top So All I Have To Do Is Dump The Litter InTo My Litter Garbage Bag. I Gave The Rest Of The Litter To Someone Where I Got My Car Fixed To Try It Out.

Great Eco litter!
By Kazziepickles on May 4, 2020
Let me just say I love the idea of a recycled litter. Not only is the product safe for the environment but the packaging is easily recycled. It is VERY low in dust, especially compared to my previous brand of litter that claimed to be 99% dust free. I gradually introduced my cat to Yesterday's News Clean Scented Clumping Paper Cat Litter and he didn't seem mind the new litter. It smells good and isn't overwhelming. I feel it has good odor control (ref. I have one cat). It cleans up well and lasts quite a long time. I received this as a free sample.

Effective, doesn’t stink, it’s recycled!
By Lacey on May 1, 2020
I was pleasantly surprised by this litter! It is so lightweight, and I didn’t think it would be very effective, but the fragrance is nice and works, without overwhelming. I can be lazy about cleaning my cats little box, but it hasn’t gotten stinky with this litter. It clumps decently, not the best ever, but above average. And I love that it is made from recycled newspaper! All around, the things I like about it make up for the the few aspects that are not perfect. Would absolutely purchase again. I received this product free for a review, and these are my honest feelings.

Good paper cat litter
By TaraC1022 on Apr 19, 2020
Using Yesterday's News Clean Scented Clumping Paper Cat Litter was my first time using a paper litter. I was pleasantly surprised at the scent of the litter and that it did not have a dust that coated the air like other litters do. I liked that the paper litter was made from recycled paper. The litter did not spread out all over or get tracked out of the litter box like other litters do. It seems to do really well at odor control if it has been just under a week of usage in the litter box. I did have a sort of difficult time getting the paper litter to scoop out with the slotted scoop I have. I feel that it would be better with a solid litter scoop.
