A great all natural dust free litter

I was using a brand of fancy crystals for my cat due to dust concern. But unfortunately, over the months I had noticed a substantial increase in dust from that litter - so much so that my cat's paws were coated in blue dust, and she was suffering from an ongoing mild URI. I switched to this litter and voila, problem solved. The only downside is this litter needs to be changed more often/requires more maintenance than the previous brand. But it is worth it for a happy cat. This litter does not clump, which is a bummer. You have to stir the litter every day (I've found once in the morning and once at night is necessary to keep smells at bay..) and the litter is the same color as kitty poo so hunting for solids is a little more annoying. Fine, but some issues

Pros: 1) Very little tracking. Litter tracking has been the bane of my existence since getting my cat. Finding the little granules everywhere including the bed is gross. These big pieces don’t really track 2) Absorbs urine odor pretty well. Some of the non clumping I’ve tried doesn’t really absorb the urine it seems Cons: 1) Same color as poop. Feels small but is pretty important. I spend more time scooping because I’m hunting for poop like Where’s Waldo 2) Size makes it harder to scoop. The pellets are fairly big so doesn’t just fall through the scoop slats like most litters. With a lot more shaking they mostly fall through, but find myself scooping out a lot of the pellets 3) Hurt my foot when I stepped on it. I have a honeycomb litter mat. The pellets get stuck in it sticking straight up. Stepped on it and ouch. I worry how my cat is feeling stepping in it everyday. 4) Doesn’t cover poop smell much All in all, I don’t mind it but don’t think I’ll continue once I finish the bag I bought … more
