Not soft, get hard very quickly

    By on

Size is great for training but not soft at all for a puppy or an older dog. They weren’t soft enough when they arrived for the puppy to ever try. Our older dog with some missing teeth got to try one and liked it but quickly got too hard for him to eat more - fit great in the treat chew toy but got hard as a rock within a day. Threw a nearly full bag away.

    Softer than a rock, maybe...

    By on

I bought these because they came up in a search for soft treats for toy dogs. I needed something to round out an order and this fit the bill. Nope. I should have read the first review that said they were not soft. Boy are they not. I wanted to use them for a 3.5 lb senior Chihuahua I foster who has no teeth. They're softer than a rock, but not by much. Really disappointed in this product. Definitely not as advertised. :(

    Pretty dense treat

    By on

My dog will definitely eat these - so the flavor is good. They are pretty firm though and she wasn’t chewing them. She would just gulp them down whole. We will finish out the bag and go back to the peanut butter flavor - much softer!

My dog can't chew these treats. They are too hard and very dry. I won't purchase again.

    Not a soft treat

They are advertised as a soft treat but they are not. Just hard little squares.

Dont buy these if you want a soft treat!

    By on

these are advertised as soft treats. They are anything but! I have a pug with teeth problems and these are so hard I had to give them to a friend with a dog. Dont buy these if you need a soft treat!

    These rock!

Given these by the shelter when I adopted Finn. My local pet store tried every product they carry as a sub; Finn wouldn't touch them. Grateful Chewy has them!

    They're okay.

I got these for my Corgi, who loves all things bacon-flavored... these weren't exactly a hit. I noticed that the treats have a somewhat fishy smell to them (possibly from the Omega--which I believe is derived from fish oil, if I am not mistaken?) My experience so far is that he isn't a big fish fan, so that would probably be why. My parents' labrador mix, however, LOVES these treats and will do just about anything for them, and my Corgi will also eat them when he is at my parents' house--must be because he figures he has to eat them so my parents' dog doesn't get them all! Overall, I'd just call these average. They are still larger than what I would like for training treats for a dog as small I got these for my Corgi, who loves all things bacon-flavored... these weren't exactly a hit. Puppy likes them

These are a little large for my tiny Yorkie's mouth, but she likes the flavor and will eat an entire one at a time. A great treat for training.
