Substrate shields come with every Zen Habitats enclosure to allow for up to 6 inches of loose substrate. You can even use their Bio-Basin to make it a bio-active setup!
Or Solid Substrate!
Zen Habitats’ Zen Mat is the perfect solid substrate for your reptile. The mat is seamless and poreless, so there’s no room for bacteria to grow and cause nasty odors. Just remove, wash and place the mat back in for easy care. The textured surface helps prevent slipping and joint injury, too.

About Zen Habitats
Founders Heidi and Randy purchased a bearded dragon kit when they first brought home their baby dragon, Chi. Soon after, they noticed he was exhibiting behaviors indicating stress because of the enclosure. They decided to build their own, and after a few design iterations, they created a beautiful, affordable habitat that promoted stimulation and good health for Chi. Since then, their team of reptile enthusiasts has grown, and so has their dedication to developing the best homes for pets!
