Good Taste
It may be too soon to notice an allergy difference in my Maltese mix little boy, but he eats a Bite when I crumble it on top of his food. That's saying a lot for a very picky eater. He will not eat it as a stand-alone chew, but will with his dinner. I gave it a 4 star rating because of not knowing how it works for allergies. It has very good ingredients so my thought is that it will be effective in time.
I was skeptical
Okay I was skeptical but desperate and these literally worked in 24 hours... I can't believe it and I dont know how to explain it. My 10 year old mini aussie has been battling chronic hotspots his whole life. Normally it's only like a few weeks here and there where his allergies are bad but this time they never went away and the poor guy has been living in the cone of shame for almost a year to keep him from eating himself alive. Ive tried everything from benadryl to prescription meds (Apoquel), food changes ( hes always eaten expensive human grade dehydrated stuff) and nothing would make his itching stop. He gets fish oil supplements along with vitamin and mineral supplies and a pre/prebiotic powder. I've tried every spray, lotion and shampoo out there for allergies and skin issues nothing worked. The day these treats arrived I gave him 1 split between morning and night and the next day I didn't notice a single itch! I'm floored and so thankful I gave these a shot. 10/10
senior allergy control
I have two senior dogs with diabetes. They are constantly itchy and bite their paws a lot. I do believe these chews are helping with that. Once they continued to take the full dose daily, they scratch and chew a lot less. They seem more comfortable. They also seem to like the flavor, so it’s a plus for me!
Changed Formula
These used to be great and I gave them to my dog for years, but I think they changed the formula or I received a bad batch. My dog ate one on my rug, which she has done countless time, and it created a terrible yellow/green stain that will not come out and has essentially ruined the rug.
Awesome results, smells horrible.
Starting 3 years ago my poor girl tries to lick her paws off turning them raw in the Summer. The blisters pop up out of nowhere various places on her body and between her toes. Now it's year-round but ramps up in the spring and gets SEVERE starting in July tapering back a little in the fall. Had to have her on 2 very expensive allergy treatments, $150+ each, every 4 weeks. After placing her on a multi strain probiotic in the off season she did not need her medicine. But, licking started in the spring. Added Zesty Paws Allerimmune Bites and all licking stopped! It's July and we have to have 1 allergy treatment instead of 2, but the shots are 6-8 weeks apart, not every 4!!! She loves the salmon flavor, but it does smell pretty strong.
Better than others
I used this product for two months. Even though it worked pretty well, (some itching remained) I thought I could find something better. Mistake! My poor boy became a mess very quickly. Long story short, I'm going back to zesty paws. Hopefully he'll find relief fairly soon.
I do not recommend this for chihuahua dogs .
Instead of reducing allergy symptoms , it caused more itching in my dog.
Great for immunity
This worked pretty good for my itchy dog. Really helped my chihuahua stop chewing her paws constantly.
Very Hopeful
I'm not sure if allergy season is over, or if these supplements are working, but my dog seems to be doing better. So, I will continue giving him these, rather than the medication my vet prescribed.
