Calm without sedation
My dog is a very fussy eater and she liked the taste of these! I gave her one and she was much more calm and less fearful of everything, without her being groggy. I will continue to use these and hoping she will be able to enjoy life more..
Pretty good!
These work really well on my little dog. it was a little bit difficult to get her to take them at first I think the powdery outer layer on it is to blame for that. For the fist couple times she was taking them I gave her one of her favorite treats with it to hopefully make it more enjoyable for her and now she begs for her calming bites every morning!
Didn't work for my pup
This brand is great. But this didn't seem to make a difference. This is the 2nd brand I'm trying. The hemp ones worked better but the dogs didn't like them. My pup is one year old and 120lbs. He injured him self and I put him on these and calming meds from the vet and he was still nuts!
Loss of appetite
Started my puppy on these all good at first seemed to be working but she now has a loss of appetite :( vet recommended discontinuing
Great product
I have a 7 month old Frenchie that is very high energy and these make such a difference. She will go from crazy, zoomie dog to still maintaining her spunky personality without all the hyper activity. Very helpful when we have guests come over
Great for large dogs
I have a 90 pound lab mix and at night he gets separation anxiety. These have helped to calm him down so that everyone in the house can get some sleep.
Disappointed
I had high hopes for these, but I think they had the opposite effect on our dog. He seemed more anxious after taking these and he was more crabby.
these work well if you can find the flavour your fur baby likes.
We first tried these in the Peanut butter flavour but Scout did not like them and wouldn't eat and if I mixed it in his food he wouldn't eat his food. Then we tried the Bison flavour and those he wouldn't eat it as a snack he would eat it mixed with his food and it was working well for him. When we went to reorder more Bison bites they are out of stock. So we tried this Turkey flavored one and again its a no go for Scout won't eat it in any way. So no calming bites for Scout til the Bison is back in stock.
We are hopeful.
We haven't given Loki any of these Calming Bites yet but are planning to do so when the occasion arises. Loke, 10 months old, is overly enthusiastic about people visiting us and makes a fool of himself (and us) with his raucous welcome. I am rating this product 5 stars so as to send a positive, rather than a negative, outcome.
After trying everything..
One of my rescue dogs has severe (& severe is an understatement) generalized & separation anxiety because of her past lives. We have tried ever form of training, medication, supplement, oil or remedy with no success. In fact, almost everything we tried increased her anxiety. Although this is not a cure & I have succumbed to whatever life she allows me to have, this is the only thing that has had a positive affect on her. It has not erased her anxiety, but it has definitely allowed her to come down faster after an episode, it allows her to sleep more comfortably through the night & she is more relaxed on walks & during her day to day. Every dog is going to react differently to anything they try, but I would definitely recommend trying this out. She is 55 lbs & I give her one treat in the AM & one in the PM.
