Zesty Paws Cranberry Bladder Bites Bacon Flavored Soft Chews Urinary Supplement for Dogs, 90 count

My pup loves them!

My dog has a very rare disorder where he has difficulty fully emptying his bladder. He takes multiple medications to help his urethral and bladder sphincter functions but is still prone to recurrent UTIs because of his condition. I decided to try the Bladder Bites to help make his bladder more inhospitable to bacteria taking up residence in there. I also found this product contained the highest milligram of cranberry of all the supplements. I can't speak to the effectiveness (yet), but I will say that my guy LOVES his morning "treats"! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bites have trouble keeping their full form inside the container. As I get toward the end, about 25% of the bites are now little balls -- not sure how I'm going to measure his daily dose with those little balls. If Zesty Paws can fix this issue, I'll give it 5 stars!

Gave these a try because the vet said it probably was a good idea for my 7.5 pound multipoo to be on something for urinary, as he has had UTIs and crystals. It was hard finding a supplement that did not contain chicken and he’s allergic to chicken. Although these are kind of large for him, and crumbly. I crumble them and put it on his food daily. No UTIs or issues since starting these and he seems to like the taste.

Wouldn’t even try chewing it

Dog hated the smell and taste of it. Closest he’d get was picking it up in his mouth and dropping it out within a few seconds. I believe it may be the powdery substance all within the container he doesn’t like (which I theorize is the bacon flavor?). Either way, he refuses to eat it.

Not for my dog

My small mix older girl had a UTI and crystals in her urine, got her right to the vet. With her meds, she cleared up ASAP. I decided to try something preventative and ordered this. I tried half the dose recommended and my poor honey was a mess, constant need to go out to P&P. I waited several weeks and gave her 1/4 the dose, and major gas, frequent trips out, my poor dog. Apparently from other reviews, this works great with some breeds, but definitely would not recommend for small (35 lbs and under) mixed breeds.

No issues here

I read a lot of the reviews on this product after I had already purchased it. A lot of people complained that their dogs wouldn't eat it. I have a dog that is definitely not food motivated. I gave her one of these and at first she just played with it a little but seemed to have no interest in eating it. So when I bent down to try to take it away from her she gulped it right up. Now she expects to have her cranberry "treats" every time she finishes eating and I have had no problems with her eating them after that first one. I cannot speak to how well they work as I have just started her on them, but since the vet told me my dog is prone to have bladder infections/UTIs, I figured it was better than doing nothing.

Well I thought out of the two supplements I purchased that my dog would at least eat one of them but she didn’t. She’s had a couple UTIs in a short timeline and after being on antibiotics I thought this would help regrow her normal flora as well as help prevent recurrent UTI’s, but she wouldn’t touch them. I mixed it in her food and she ate around them, also tried giving it like a snack and she wouldn’t try. This had good reviews so that is why I purchased, glad it’s helpful for others babies who will try them!

Has worked great

Our now, 4 year old female Brittany was having UTI'S continuously and having to be placed on antibiotics. Been taking for over a year. Not a UTI since she has been taking them. She don't like to take them but will with a treat being held in the other hand.

Zesty paws Cranberry bites

Greatly helped chronic urinary infections from Lyme disease in my rescue shih tzu. Better than otc generic cranberry.

My dog wouldn't touch them

The description says chews but they are more like pressed dust or fine sand. When you barley squeeze them they turn to dust. I have a 4lb yorkie and when I tried to break them in half for him they fell apart and he didn't even know they were food. I contacted customer service and they are supposed to refund my money so I'll rate customer service as 5 star but the product as 0 stars.

5 month old puppy w/ UTI

My puppy was put on amoxicillin 3 days ago for a UTI. I ordered Zesty Paw bladder bites when it occurred to me he should be on something to support bladder health. I just gave him one and he loved it! He’s a rather picky eater and I am really surprised based on sone reviews here. As for whether it helps, that will be another review in the future.
