The bags are filled by weight and will vary from bag to bag. Each stick is approximately 1 ounce. For a 25 ounce bag, there is approximately 24-25 dental sticks.
the ingredients include peppermint oil, how is this safe for dogs?

Peppermint Oil is not harmful if given in small amounts and only small amounts are included in these treats. In fact, when given in small doses, it can actually provide a host of benefits such as fiber and protein, healthy vitamins, great minerals, and antioxidants as well as making your fur baby's breath smell a lot better.
I was wondering why the feeding instructions for the other varieties of OraStix recommend giving these treats after food to avoid gastrointestinal issues, while this advice is absent from the feeding instructions for the Aller-Immune type. Is this an oversight or is this formula easier to digest?

We recommend you give your pet the Orastix before or after a meal to avoid any upset stomachs. Also give your pet the dosage of half based on their weight for about 2 weeks to allow your pet's body to get used to the new addition to their diets.
How many kcals is this dental chew per stick?

As per the NASC, these chews are considered a supplement and not food. For this reason, Zesty Paws does not have the percentages like fat, kcals or others.
