GSD Won't Eat Them
I wanted my dog to like these. They seemed like a really good product and a good price. I got the duck as my dog is allergic to chicken. She flat out refuses to eat them. She will pick it out of her food too and spit it on the floor where it becomes a pile of mush. I will have to look for something else!
will be reordering
My dog injured himself and is getting older and have been wanting to get him on some joint supplements. Decided to settle on these based on the reviews and the ingredients. I’ve been following the directions on giving half the full dose and gradually increasing. He’s only on day 2 and hasn’t even received his full 3 yet and is already very much improved. He’s easily getting up from laying and standing and walking great. No signs of upset tummy from the glucosamine either.
really work!
I got these for a friend of my gmas dog. He said the dog eats them just fine, and he really notices a difference! Recently got them for my own dogs, 7 year old Jack Russell/Pomeranian, and An 8 month old pit/hound mix. 7 year old eats them just find but pup is a bit hesitant so i mix them into his food and he doesnt seem to notice! Would recommend, though some dogs may be thrown off by taste/smell. Mixing it with food, pumpkin purée or wet food may help as they crumble easily!
50/50 from my dogs
I've tried several different supplements trying to find one that all 3 of my dogs will eat willingly. The first dog didn't seem to mind this one, the second dog (who will eat anything) ate it, but he definitely didn't seem as excited as he did with others, and the third dog wouldn't have anything to do with it. I really like the texture of this one because it didn't crumble and fall apart like some others, but I will have to keep searching for one they will all eat willingly. Others may have better luck.
Dirrireha
I brought this and my boy now and he ended up with a lot of gas and water dirrireha I went off the reviews sadly these are not for all dogs or dogs with stomach issues should be some kind of warning that this could case gastritis and dirrireha I was really hoping these would work sadly they didn't I only gave it a one Star because these made my dog sick
My pup loves them
I give these to my young large dog for the glucosamine -- trying for some preventative care since larger dogs are more prone to hip/joint arthritis. My vet seemed please with the choice and Silas loves them -- we usually practice a trick or two every morning with them.
You Can Tell The Difference
I have a 12 year old black lab who’s vet told me she has poor range of motion in her back legs, as well as muscle loss due to her arthritis, he recommended her to be put on a hip and joint as well as a prescribed pain med. I started her on this first and she is so much happier and has more energy! I found the senior formula and bought it, I haven’t tried that one yet, but I’m going to assume it’ll work just as well. My girl won’t eat it alone, but it crumbles nicely so I can mix it in with her food and she’ll eat it right up!
Do Not Recommend
I have two dogs, GSD and Akita. This product should list more about the side effects. My GSD had diarrhea the whole time I was trying it with my dogs. My Akita ended up with bloody stool. I only used the product for 4 days and used the less than recommended amount for their weight. I stopped using it and the diarrhea went away and the stool is no longer bloody. Avoid this product at all costs.
Allergic/hives
I ordered the 90 day duck flavored chewables and my lab got hives 15 mins after eating half of what's recommended for his weight. I had to immediately give him benedryl with cold compresses for the welts. He is back to his normal self thankfully.
So far, so good!
My pupper loves these, and she's pretty picky. They are soft and chewy, so easy to blend with food if your dog doesn't take whole.
