Unsure as our dog has not had it yet as he's finishing another brand. But we have given him the Zesty Paws Probiotic and it has improved his digestive system better. We chose this product which has more or less similar components and measurement of the current joint health but at a more reasonable cost. So we'll see.
I'm a long fan of zesty paws for all our supplements. I wish they made peanut butter flavor in everything cause our 10yr old pitbull is very picky. However I am pleased with the quality of their items.
Have to say this is my first time to try this item after reading so many positive reviews. However, when I opens the cap, I instantly smell the strong artificial meaty scent just like the MSG powder from instant noodle. But I guess the manufacturer mean to add this meaty flavor to make dogs to eat the supplements, just like the sugar coating of human medicine. But I realize my dog throws up almost every time after having it. I haven’t seen anyone mentioned this situation before. I made my dog try several times, but it ends up the same. I haven’t give my dog this supplement anymore. Now the one I bought is expired already. Totally waste of money from my dog’s experience.
Our pittie - who will eat pretty much anything - spits these out. He ate the first one I gave him but every attempt since has been thwarted. He's even suspicious of regular treats now! I'm sure they'd work if he would eat them.
We add these to our dog's bowl at mealtime and she gobbles them right up. She took to the Duck flavor right away. We used to give her Bacon flavor, which she loved at first, but the formula must have changed at some point, because she would eat all of her food and leave the chew unless we broke it up into little pieces. Our dog is a large breed (75 lb), genetically predisposed to joint problems, and is getting old so it's difficult to tell how much this is helping her. We also started her on them well before she began having issues so I can't point to any improvement. The sad reality is that no matter whatever we try, over time things will only get worse ... but at least with these she gets to enjoy a tasty treat :-)
My little Duke [Yorkie] is allergic to EVERYTHING! This is one joint chew that he can eat and loves them which means, so do I. :-D My vet approved of this one too.
I give this to my 4 year old American Bully who has moderate arthritis in both hips. Her vet actually recommended this after seeing her limp around even after giving her prescribed pain meds. Now she can run and jump around just about all day with my other dog.
I have a rescue that is 10+ years old and has been showing a tenderness in her left hip, causing her to limp when going outside, harder times jumping onto the couch or bed. I've been giving her these bites for a few weeks now and noticed that she's no longer having trouble jumping on the couch/bed and no longer limping! It doesn't help when she gets a little over-exuberant with her sister though, but she's much happier and moving around so much better. Will continue getting these for my 'Old Lady' to keep her pain free and happy
My dog has arthritis in her front leg joints. We've tried many items including braces and CBD. She's been taking 3 a day for just over a week. It seems to be helping. I will buy it again.
She likes these for a treat supplements. I don't know how much they help, but they don't hurt either.
