Won't eat
I just received these and gave my Frenchie one as soon as I opened it and he instantly spit it out. He is the least picky dog and eats everything, but these were not his cup of tea . I tried to give it to him again and he wouldn't take it so I put it in him mouth and he did chew like once and started spitting the pieces out . He had IVDD so I was hoping these would help support his nervous system . I really want to give these a chance and see if I can notice any difference, so I will attempt to try and hide them in some meat or whip cream. Super bummer.
Good Stuff!
Historically Mylo has been a little iffy on certain supplements or foods but he loves these. I bought them for the omegas for his heart disease and the antioxidant Krill oil benefits. I'm really pleased with the results. I'm partial to this brand because it's NASC certified. We're just now ordering our second container, which is awesome because shortly after I ordered the first container he was diagnosed with cancer.
Lab refused it Day 2!
My Lab never turns down a treat, he had a tough time eating this day one, so did his sister. Piercing a fish oil pill to put in their food turns their noses also. Neither dog will eat fish dog food and apparantley the Lab doesn't approve of this as he wouldn't take it day 2. I know they need Krill oil so I will break it up and put in their dinner and see how that goes. I think it needs more bacon flavor in the smell and taste.
Early review - dog doesn’t like it
First of all.. these smell terrible. As you can imagine.. smells like nasty fish. I tried feeding it to my pup and he pawed at it and totally shook his head. I ended up crumbling it in his food to sneak it in his diet.. so I’m hoping this helps. I have a golden and I’m hoping it helps with his allergies and his coat... might write a review after a month or so of use. First day isn’t a big winner though.
Strong smell
These have a very strong bacon odor and I don't detect a fishy smell at all. I thought the dogs would love them. They do NOT. They literally spit them out onto the floor, whole. But they are very soft and easily broken up so I've been breaking them up and mixing them into their breakfast and they happily eat them that way.
Krill Oil bites
My dog loves your product. I crumble two bites as per her weight and sprinkle them over her food at night. She gobbles her food down more vigorously than before. I have also noticed she is itching a lot less which is good news. I would definitely buy this product in the future.
First day was good
Ordered 7/14 got it on 7/ 15. Wow! Super fast. Lilbit is a 7yr chi. She loved it. Update soon.
Powerful stuff!
One of our dogs has severe environmental allergies and chewed herself bloody. Her fur was bristly and dry. After just a few weeks of the Krill bites, she itches less and her fur is healing and satiny soft
Chewy products
My dogs were scratching, there coats were dull, I know they didn't have fleas because they are treated every month. Now their coats are so shiny!!! Especially on the German Shepherd and the black lab. They look awesome!!!!! Not as much scratching, yet the sheen of their coats, the black is so black and shining.
Not for my Chihuahua
I purchased these after my vet suggested omega 3 supplements for my 10 year old Chihuahua. He would not take them as treats, crumbled with food, or crushed and mixed with food. He would either leave the pieces behind or not eat at all. Might be great for some but it did not work for us.
