    This is an excellent brand

    By on

One of the few which are not only grain-free but also potato-free. My itchy Scruffles appreciates this. I include Zignature and one other brand in his food rotation. If I don't rotate foods every 4 bags or so, he develops another food sensitivity. Poor guy won't have anything left to eat if it keeps happening so I need to keep up with the rotation. Zignature is one of only two brands he can eat without scratching and licking non-stop. Also I try to keep him on cooling proteins in the summer and neutral proteins in the winter.

Like the unique protein source and the absence of alfalfa!

    By on Top 250 Contributor

Switching both of our dogs to a unique protein for the two of them in order to eliminate possible allergies. One of the dogs is allergic to alfalfa which, unfortunately seems to be an ingredient in the majority of Zignature's dry and wet foods. Sorry to see that the manufacture has not converted to No GMO. Once the dogs are both on this dry kibble, I intend to transition them soon to a No-GMO dehydrated food and rotate raw in their diet, hopefully be able to eliminate kibble all together.
