During the process of making the kibble at what temperature is the kibble cooked and for how long is it cooked at that said temperature ?
Answer by ChewyOct 30, 2017
During the process of production, the product enters the extruder and the extrusion process begins to heat it. The product rises from 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 240-265 degrees Fahrenheit at 2-3 bars of pressure over the 10-15 seconds while in the extruder barrel.

No more hot spots!

I have a 80lb GSD/Golden mix that was incredibly sensitive to any food we gave her. Even grain free raw coated kibble, she would flare up and get really itchy! I found this about a year or two ago, and now she doesn’t get those nasty hot spots. Highly recommend if your dog has skin sensitivity!

Good stats, just not for my dog

My dog has been on Farmina for years and I decided to try another brand (mostly because their kibbles are so darn big) and Zignature looked promising. It requires different toppers for my dog to actually eat the food, and multiple times, she didn't touch the food. The main issue we've had is the sheer volume of poop she's been going after transitioning her onto this food, not to mention the smell. Really considering donating the rest of the bag to a shelter or rescue at this point.

Pretty smelly

Defiantly love this brand, I went from taste of the wild to this and the dogs love it...although this flavor smells like fish bait, I have purchased the catfish and there was little to no aroma to it...

Packer's opinion

My Schnauzer, Packer has been on Zignature food for a while. I recently switched from the Salmon to the Whitefish. Packer seems to like this one better and his appetite is back. Perhaps he was tired of Salmon. I've been told this is one of the very best brands of dog food you can buy. A little more money for food equals less time and money for the Vet.

Love Whitefish Kibble

I've been feeding my diabetic dog this for 5 years now and he's still acting young at heart. This food along with his insulin has really saved his life 5 years ago. I was looking for a high protein food with no grains added. He loves both the soft food and kibble, especially when he gets a extra surprise of whitefish wet food mix with his kibble.

My dog won't eat it... but he's spoiled

I recently discovered this food because it doesn't contain anything my husky is allergic to. However, he refuses to eat it under any circumstances. I'm not sure if he's just been spoiled by home cooked meals (exhausting, but necessary for now!) or if he really doesn't like the taste of this food. He previously ate other kibble without issue. I will probably try the salmon flavor to see if it's any better before hunting for yet another allergen-free brand. Sigh.

We love Zignature

My girl is allergic to all poultry and Zignature is one of the only foods we have found that doesn't contain any, with the added bonus of fish oil for her dry skin. Zignature for the win! We love the white fish and venison!

Wonderful for digs with allergies!

My girl ALWAYS eats a limited ingredient dog food by Zignature. Sometimes I wonder if she's allergic to air!! This whitefish formula has given her the vitamins, and nutrients that she needs to put her allergies in remission. Thank goodness for Chewy, Zignature, and the fantastic options from which there is to choose!!!

Love the brand being limited ingredient, really helps when you have allergies and need to stay away from certain things. Pups love it too.

Whitefish food

My dogs like it so I like it. As for chewy this my first time personally using them. My cousin usually orders it and sends it to me. So far so good.
