Only the Best Ingredients

To create these nourishing dishes, Zignature gathered the best possible ingredients from trusted sources around the world. Trout, salmon and whitefish all come from the Pacific waters of the Northwest; turkey is raised in the Midwest; duck comes from farms in Western France; kangaroo is brought over from Australia; and venison and lamb are delivered from New Zealand farmlands. Healthy fruits and veggies are harvested from several North American farms based on the season.

Questions & Answers

What percentage of the 32% protein comes from animal protein in the zsentials recipe? Thanks
Answer by ChewyFeb 28, 2018
This formula contains 70% meat protein versus 30% plant based protein.

What is the size of each kibble?
Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2018
This kibble is approximately the width of a dime and a little less than 1/4 inch thick.

Is this blend also limited ingredient? If not then what makes the others limited ingredient and this one not?
Answer by ChewyMay 11, 2018
This product is not considered one of their limited ingredient lines. The difference between them is this product contains multiple proteins such as turkey, salmon, duck, and lamb and the others consist of a singular protein.

About how many cups are in a pound?
Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2018
There will be approximately 4 cups per pound of kibble. The 4 pound bag will have close to 16 cups, the 13.5 pound bag close to 54 cups and the 27 pound bag close to 108 cups.

disappointed

This food caused my dog to have severe diarrhea and onyx has never had this. I ordered it since 8/28 mind you today is 9/23 and I finally switched him on it by itself instead of still mixing it. I switch to just this on its own on Monday 9/18. Keep in mind next Thursday will make a month since he’s been on his food. my poor baby has never experienced this

Zignature

I had a hard time finding food that my dogs would continuously keep eating but this did the trick. They love it

Zignature zssential dog food

My Labradoodle has a sensitive tummy and had diarrhea. I suspected she was allergic to Chicken. This brand offered good proteins without the use of chicken products. My dogs diarrhea cleared up.

Love the brand.. but not from Chewy.

Every bag I have ever purchased from our local pet store has never caused an issue, but the bag we ordered from here came in and the kibble was so dry it was basically crumbling into dust which is extremely odd. I'm not sure of their products are stored in a warehouse or if they come straight from the manufacturer but we are not taking any chances. We decided to go through with feeding the bag after checking to make sure it wasn't expired, due to the fact we were tight on funds and low on food. Our dogs (all five) did experience some degree of loose stool after feeding the food. Don't get me wrong, all of our dogs are on Zignature and we've never had an issue, until the bag we ordered off of Chewy. Just be super careful! Not all warehouses are temp controlled or appropriately monitored for pests. We have since purchased a new bag from a local retailer and it was nothing like the bag we got from Chewy...

What has happened to Zignature

I used to feed this to my three pit bulls. Then all the sudden it started making them sick so I quit. Now I have a Rottweiler and when I transitioned him from puppy to adult food I figured I would give Zignature another try. The first bag that I mixed with his Taste of the Wild puppy food went fine. Now the bag that I got that’s not being mixed he won’t eat it and if he does he gets really sick and pukes. I guess we’re done trying Zignature. Such a shame it used to be such good food

Healthy fresh ingredients my Frenchies Love.

A Couple of my dogs suffer with environmental allergies. I try to feed them a high protein food with probiotics. They love this food. I do add some of my own cooked food as a topper, so they get some healthy grains. Brown Rice and Oats along with Kale, and other dog safe veggies I have on hand. It is pricey for the size of the bag that I'm willing to pay

Vets Recommendation

I adopted my Golden Retriever and was told she had a chicken allergy. The Vet recommended and the place I adopted her from is the food she is on. She tolerates the food fine and I see no reason to change. I have owned many Golden Retrievers and Mae is the first to have an allergy.

Why add probiotics?

I implore you to eliminate the probiotics. I can no longer feed my dog Zignature food. He has eaten it for years and since adding this ingredient he has developed digestive issues. Zignature lost a valuable customer.

2 paws down

For a few days my Lab was interested, sort of. But then said "no more," and we went back to Royal Canin.
