I have been using this reptile bedding by Zilla for a long time now. It's affordable. Works great. The only downside is that you guys have stopped carrying the bigger bags.

I use this for the bottom of my birdcages. It is clean, dust free, and absorbs liquids and waste without smell. It is AWESOME that Chewy's carries it at such a great price! Can't find it anywhere else at that price and quantity. I Could not live without Chewy's with the huge animal family of domestic and wildlife rescue babies. The only thing I would ask is that Chewy's look at bring on the Higgins International cooked food for Birds or some other cooked food option for all birds. I have been asking for over a year and hopefully you will consider this as it is much more nutritious and healthier for birds than seed.
It's a little sharp

I'll admit, I know sand isn't the best substrate for a bearded dragon, especially with their floor-licking habits. But sometimes, reptile carpet is a hassle to keep clean and not aesthetically pleasing like loose substrate. This stuff looks pretty and is supposedly digestible, but I was surprised to learn that the tiny pieces are actually a little rough and sharp when you apply pressure. I can't imagine what it's like in a bearded dragon's tummy. This substrate looks pretty and might be good for potted plants or fairy gardens, but I'm sceptical about its safety in reptile cages. I will continue to look for other alternatives.
Not just for reptiles! LOL

I use this to stuff my pincushions. It works great! ANd it sharpens the needles as I use the pincushion. Not its intended purpose, but I love it!
My Beardy loves it

George loves this stuff!! He can dig away, I can sift, and there is not a ton of dust flying through the air.
Very Nice Substrate

My bearded dragon is starting to develop digging habits as she grows closer to one years old. The vet recommended walnut shell substrate to us. This one is very nice as it's not too rough. She enjoys digging herself a little spot at night, and thankfully doesn't seem to be interested in eating the substrate.

Came early, low dust, plenty for our beardie! Zilla products have been excellent in past and not disappointed this time either! Will be ordering more of the litter from them.

Perfect for weighted pincushions

I don't have a reptile, that wasn't my purpose for purchasing this product. I do make pincushions, and this is perfect for filling those pincushions, and it's kinda like recycling, using ground walnut shells.
