not a good heater
By michelle on Dec 11, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
I ended up buying two of these. I have two critter keeper containers that have Madagascar hissing cockroaches. I attached this to the shorter side of each container. It is slightly warm to the touch, but does not properly heat the containers and I’m pretty sure they’re 1 gallon containers, so I got the four watt ones. It does not raise the ambient temperature at all and only warms about 5 inches from where the heater actually is, so I put their hides right beside the heaters so they have a warm place to hang out. I would really not recommend this product.

not sure about this
By Rorytheterrier on Jun 8, 2020
I've had my heating pad for about a week now and it doesn't seem to make a difference in my bearded dragons tank. I was worried about the temp dropping too much at night, so I added the heating pad and a small thermometer to the bottom of the tank and there has been no change. The temp still drops at night, even with the pad plugged in and on.

Zilla is a good and reliable brand
By nickname on Nov 8, 2019
Ive been using zilla since i originally bought my snake. His last heatpad has done well by him for three and a half years. Adhesive could use some work tho zilla. After the second year i had to tape it myself to get it to stay on the tank.

Glue came off on the paper
By BabyBoa on Sep 30, 2019
2/3's of the stick glue came off of the heat mat so as it isn't making contact to my tank it won't transfer heat. I am going to contact customer service to see how they react and will update (the 4w heat mat i had on another tank that made full contact works great)

Not very pleased.
By Morgan on Jul 13, 2019
It is much smaller and colder than I thought it would be. It actually shut off completely cold and slowly warmed back up. It has a leopard gecko on the front, but I would NOT recommend for leopard geckos. On the box, it says leopard geckos are “woodland” and “rainforest” animals, which is completely off. They live in the rocky dessert.

Heat for Hermits
By Fish on Jan 21, 2019
I needed an extra heat source for my hermit crabs this winter. I already have a heat lamp but it hasn't been warm enough. I got the heat pad and stuck it to the side of the tank opposite from the heat lamp. The crabs seem much happier, the tank feels warmer, I don't trust the thermometer currently, I need to replace that.
