can this heat mat be put in breaded dragon tank under the liner.Tank is 50 gallon and I have a hard time keeping my baby warm as my room has no heat source
Answer by ChewyOct 31, 2017
While this works great to give your bearded dragon some added heat, it should be placed underneath or on the side of the terrarium, not inside. It shouldn't be used to substitute your beardie's basking light, as that is their main source of heat.

I have a five gallon tank for my small hermit crabs. Is this heating pad safe for them?
Answer by ChewyAug 21, 2019
This heater may be used with a hermit crab habitat. It is generally recommended they be housed in a habitat with a temperature no lower than 75°F. The 4-watt model is suitable for tanks from 1 to 5 gallons.

I have my tank for hermit crabs on a wood table I just want to lay pad on table and then put my glass tank on top of it Can I?
Answer by ChewyAug 29, 2018
It's not recommend to us this product with acrylic, wood, metal or fiberglass.

how and where do i put this on
Answer by ChewyDec 25, 2018
This heater may be placed on the under the terrarium or it can be side mounted. Remove the protective paper from adhesive side of heat mat, place adhesive side of heat mat to outside of glass terrarium. Then rub the heat mat evenly until it is firmly adhered to the terrarium bottom. If placing under, place the rubber spacers under each corner of the terrarium bottom, making sure that the terrarium does not rest directly on the heat mat electrical cord when in use.

Do not recommend for 4 watt.

I ordered this back in August apparently. I bought it for a backup just in case my main one ever failed. I broke it out a couple of weeks ago to use and it does not heat. It's like barely lukewarm definitely not warm enough to keep a animal warm or alive.

Great Heat Mat

I have one of these for my rat snake, and it's awesome. The sticky stuff keeps it in place on the bottom of the tank I have it on a Zilla thermostat and it keeps my snake happy and warm. I love the size and how much cheaper it is compared to some other brands. Highly recommend

Perfect little heat pad

This small heat pad is perfect for my three hermit crabs. It raises the temperature in their habitat enough that the moisture in the substrate evaporates to moisten the air. It warms the habitat but it does not make it hot. I have positioned the pad on one end and have included cholla wood to climb if they get too warm. They seem happy and healthy.

A Waste sadly

Doesn’t stick to the glass and barely heats. If I rub my hands together long enough that would generate more heat than this.

Horrible product

Had this pad hooked to a thermostat, set very very low and it burned a hole thru itself and the wood underneath it.

Don't trust this product.

Reptile heat mat worked for three days. No help with the order. Not happy about that. Product was installed correctly.

DONT BUY, WAY TOO HOT FOR ANYTHING LIVING

I have been using this for a month. I got curious and temp tested the glass under the substrate for my ball pythons tank. MY TEMP GUN SAID IT WAS 160°. IF MY SNAKE BURROWED BAST HIS SUBSTRATE THAT WOULD HAVE BURNED HIM. FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR ANIMAL PLEASE DONT GET THIS

Do not recommend

Attached this to the side of my tank yesterday after throughly cleansing it and woke up to it on the floor. My temps dropped dramatically overnight which could be dangerous for many types of reptiles
