This is a toral waste of money. It doesn’t float as it should, it just goes on the bottom of the tank. It’s hard as a rock. My big turtle can’t even bite on it. I tried to cut it, and the scissors can’t even cut it. I ended up throwing them all away, all the three packages I bought.
Total waste of money.
a waste :(

These dont float. they sink to the bottom and well the turtles dont even notice them so they just gunk up the tank and filters. I have never bought something that does the exact opposite of what its said to do... Dont buy these for your turtles
Turtles love it!!

Great entertainment for both turtles & their people!! Also great to give when you will be gone past their feeding time...then they have something to ‘snack’ on while you’re gone!!
Boil them to soften them - that's all!

Most of the time this variety comes rock-hard; sometimes the turtles can eat them that way, often not. The way to handle this is simply to boil them in water for a few minutes - softens them right up! (This might work for other pet treats that have hardened). They still sink to the bottom and you may not have the amusement of seeing the turtles chase them, but turtles, after surface feeding, always head to the bottom anyway and seek out food, so they do find and consume them. My turtles are very fond of them!

I got them for my turtle but he doesn't eat them because they don't float... They're called "floating clam treats"

My turtle loves these things! I will definitely be buying them again for him?, I would give a five star, but they don’t float and he doesn’t have to be active at all to eat them because when they are put in the water, they go directly to the floor of the tank!
Sinks, not floats

These sink like a stone so they end up getting sucked into the filter before my larger turtles find them as their previous owner only gave them floating foods. For any turtle that actively hunts I think these would be a good treat! My smaller one likes them but they are too big for a single meal and are messy to break apart.

Have tried feeding several of these to my turtle but all they do it sink. He loved the shrimp ones and they actually float so I am going to stick with the shrimp flavor ones. Don't buy these if you actually want them to float... get the shrimp ones instead.
Did not float
on Apr 6, 2018
The floating treats did not float at all and sunk right to the bottom for the tank. I am not sure if my turtle even found them to eat.
A day or so later the filter was clogged too.
I will not buy these again.
Turtle goes crazy over them!

My turtle loves these treats! He goes crazy for them! They don't float but it's not a big deal because my turtle swims to the bottom to get his treat :)
