good quality, but difficult to place.
My corn snake loves this vertical hide, but it was really tricky to get it set up. The suction cup works but only for a while in my experience. I have to use a branch to keep it from falling now. However, I was pleasantly supplied with how much she uses it being that corn snakes typically burrow and hide.
Looks good
I wanted a hide for a crested gecko that i took in. It was going into a 12x12x18 terrarium for a crested that was tailless and unwanted. It fit well, and looks good. The rest of this review is basically a copy of my feeding ledge review. Still applies. I bought this at the same time as the ledge. I've seen people saying you can't lock the suction cup down when trying to mount it...that's because you lock the suction cup down and then hang the ledge on it. You don't try to hand a picture while putting a nail in the wall at the same time do you? Hang suction cup, hang ledge on suction cup, pretty basic, you can't do both at the same time. Stop leaving reviews that are negative over your mistakes. If has not once fallen. I had a similiar product fall in another terrarium. Know why? The first terrarium was brand new, spotless clean glass. Spritz a little water and mounted the ledge no issue. The second one that fell...I didn't clean glass first, it fell within 10 minutes. Glass didn't seem dirty, buy I cleaned it with a paper towel,l and cold water, wiped clean, reset glass, hung ledge and it's been hanging there for over a month. If it falls, clean your glass. Even if it doesn't look dirty, it is. I have two of these, one hanging two months, another hanging a month. Wet your glass before mounting. Don't leave stupid reviews over your own mistakes. One of mine fell due to my error. Maybe they don't explain it on the box, but I guess they assume we have some common sense. Love the product, looks good.
Horrible quality
The suck cup doesn't work, and the material is cheaply made. Don't recommend it at all. I got it for my bioactive crested gecko tank, and instead of being a nice hide for my gecko, all it does is fall down at the slightest touch. Several of my plants are crushed now, and I had to just keep the hide at the bottom of the tank due to the risk of my gecko getting hurt.
