Description

Feed your cat farm to bowl nutrition with the Ziwi Peak Air-Dried Chicken Recipe Cat Food. Simple and pure, just like the Ziwi love for cats, this recipe gives your pal the best of New Zealand. Using a gentle twin-stage air-drying process, they naturally preserve all the ingredients, which also eliminates pathogenic bacteria. There’s no need to rehydrate since the air-dried food contains more moisture than dry kibble—and because there’s also no need for preservatives, sugars and glycerines, the food is safe, clean and easy to handle. In fact, it’s just as nutritious and digestible as a completely raw diet, in the convenient form of air-dried food.

Key Benefits
  • 100% single-sourced chicken is free-range and grass-fed on ethical and sustainable New Zealand farms, free of antibiotics, growth promotants and added hormones.
  • Gentle twin-stage air-drying process eliminates pathogenic bacteria while naturally preserving and protecting the nutrients in all the ingredients.
  • Includes 96% fresh meat, organs, bones and New Zealand green mussels—a natural source of chondroitin and glucosamine, which supports joint health.
  • 95% digestible, high-protein and high-kilocalorie diet packs more power than raw food or kibble so you can feed smaller quantities per day.
  • Complete and balanced, limited-ingredient formula never include grains, corn, soy, potatoes, wheat, rice, fillers, sugars, glycerins, rendered meals or preservatives.

    Very expensive

    By on

Very expensive, I was surprised at the size of the bag. My cats were less than thrilled. I mixed it with their regular food to get them accustomed to it and they would only eat it if they were starving, so they did not like the taste I gather. My cats are picky, I'm trying to feed them healthy food but maybe I just need to buy Fancy Feast!

    Excellent Ingredients but...

    By on

After buying Ziwi Peak chicken and beef for (my almost 3 year old cat) nearly 2 years, the vet discovered high lipids and cholesterol in my baby girl. This food has 30% fat so be careful. Sadly I heard this right before my brand new bags of food arrived. Now I'm weaning her off in hopes the 15% fat replacement food will help lower cholesterol.

    I hate given low reviews

    By on Top 100 Contributor

Because it may just be a pets preference, but none of my cats would touch this particular food although they have be on a raw food diet now for six months, they normally love " head to tail" freeze dried duck, chicken, rabbit and turkey, but they wouldn't eat this even when they were hungry.

didn’t pass the test with these felines

    By on

I really wanted it to be a success after reading the reviews but not 1 of the 4 cats liked it. I was disheartened by it but the possums have eaten it. Though they eat anything.

    Excellent quality food, but . . .

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I so wanted my 3 cats to love this food, as quality appears excellent. However, my efforts to encourage them to eat it have produced modest results. The morsels are small enough, unlike some of the freeze-dried raw products that you have to break up, but texture is very hard and likely difficult for the cats to chew. I've tried mixing with wet food and dry food, but only one of my boys will eat it. My 12 year old swallowed the morsels whole and then regurgitated them. Really want to find something they'll eat when I'm away the whole day and can't feed them wet food multiple times, since two of them don't like dry food. But this is not it, unfortunately. The cats don't enjoy

    By on

I am disappointed to write this review. I bought four foods, this being my personal favorite due to ingredient quality and brand mindfulness. The cats just don't care for it. They eventually ate it, but not excitedly. I will try Ziwi Peak's other flavors, but this one just isn't a favorite I guess.

So, although this cat food was highly recommended for its nutritional value, all 4 cats snubbed it!
