I thought there was something wrong at first, but then I realized my cat was used to kibble at night- not air dried food. This stuff is rich, and both my cats had to learn to pace themselves out. I mix it with their kibble now to kind of balance it out, and now when I wake up I see they still have some left in their feeders (kibble too!). Now, I don't think they DON'T like it because they would refuse to eat it if they didn't. If my one cat doesn't like food, he'll try to hide/bury it. He doesn't do that with this stuff, so I genuinely think it just makes them full really fast, like a rich meal. YMMV with this stuff, but I can tell it's high qual. Picky eaters might not like it, but it's good to try! … more

I bought 2 2.2 lb bags for two cats thinking it would last an entire month, it lasted me 10 days and it was $100. I even used the Ziwi Peak food calculator to make sure I was feeding them the recommended amount. Do not buy this product unless you plan to spend a lot of money on your cat(s) per month. Maybe not a substitute
By Chouli on Apr 4, 2021
I like this food, th kitten isn't too impressed by it. She loves her kibble and right now hates her wet food so she is eating this half kibble/half wet food. But I don't think she wants it as a substitute for wet food.

One of the best kibbles out there
By Samantha on Feb 20, 2021
POSITIVE -Has all the ingredients my pets need and none (to my knowledge) that can harm them -Variety of recipes. A favorite of my pets is the mackerel & lamb recipe -I’ve been feeding this food to my ferrets and cat for a few months now and they’ve never looked healthier (weight and coat) -My ferrets’ poop has been more solid (I used to feed them wysong epigen 90 starch free and it made their poop so loose almost like diarrhea) -My pets’ smell has reduced -They’re more active and look happier -Less amount of food per serving since they get fuller quicker -One of the closest kibble option to raw NEGATIVE -Dry but so are most kibbles. I just wet it for 5 min before feeding -On the POSITIVE -Has all the ingredients my pets need and none (to my knowledge) that can harm them -Variety of recipes. VERDICT If you decide to feed your pets kibble then I 100% recommend ziwi air dried food for cats (and ferrets, don’t know about the dog or wet food lines) even with those two “negative” points. … more

Cat is obsessed!!
By Katiebug on Feb 15, 2021
My cat is obsessed with this food! Every time he hears me grab the bag he runs over and starts meowing like crazy! I have to make sure to put the bag in a cabinet because he will chew through the bag. I also appreciate that there’s a serving cup in each bag and there’s serving sizes on the side!!

Best food thus far
By Haesel on Feb 11, 2021
So for the past few months, I've been attempting to entice our new kitten into eating healthier foods, with very limited results. He would not eat raw, thawed or freeze-dried. He rarely accepted wet food, and even then it had to have a specific consistency, so all he wanted were certain brands of dry food. Once I opened this bag up, however, he practically inhaled it. I finally found us a winner.

Better than kibble
By Lulu on Feb 7, 2021
My cat prefers the raw food I give him for breakfast and dinner (as do I for the greatly needed hydration) but this is a good solution for a midday snack when I'm not around or for traveling. It's not perfect because it is a dry food & it seems to lose its appeal when it's rehydrated, but it's miles better than carb laden kibble. The mackerel & lamb formula is the lowest calorie/highest protein besides the venison version, but at a fraction of the cost of the venison so I go with this one. It is pretty stinky (read enticing for cats) and the bag has quite a bit of dust that I have to toss but I'm happy with the product overall.

My cats are OBSESSED
By Livia on Feb 1, 2021
My cat-sitter (who really knows her stuff) gently told me the Friskies I was feeding my cats is like "KFC or McDonald's" and suggested a few healthy brands, including Orijen and Ziwi. Man my cats loved this so much they ate around the kibbles, and one of them constantly went over and pawed the ground to "bury" the bowl, or hide it under a sock. I mix with kibbles because this stuff is so expensive... Hopefully I'll be able to afford to feed Ziwi exclusively soon because it's super healthy and my cats are in love!

Both kittens love this flavor
By Fluffers on Jan 3, 2021
I’ve tried Ziwi air dried beef, venison, chicken and this one. They like the venison flavor ok, didn’t like the beef and chicken (will eat when very hungry) but they LOVE this one! My little girl didn’t like all the Ziwi air dried in general but she’s super excited even before I open this bag. I feed them a mixed of raw, freezer dried raw, and kiwi wet food. I love to use the Ziwi air dried on top their regular meal to snack on because the ingredients are so good. I’m glad they finally have a flavor they like. Will try the lamb flavor the next but this one is definitely a winner!

He refused to acknowledge this as food.
By Benedict on Dec 17, 2020
I tried to introduce it to my cat in small proportions to the rest of his food, as advised on the bag. He ate around it and begged for more of the old stuff. I tried putting a bit in a bowl by itself. He ignored the bowl and went for the kibble instead. It was almost passive-aggressive in his disdain. He even stopped asking me to feed him and just walked away. He hasn’t hated anything so much since the expensive prescription food.
