All ingredients are sourced from the green, free-range farms and blue, pristine oceans of New Zealand. Meats are sourced from humane, ethical and sustainably managed local farms. And fish is caught in the southern oceans of New Zealand, strictly managed to ensure maximum sustainability.

Air-Dried Recipes

Ziwi naturally preserves their dry dog and cat food by air-drying it, eliminating the need for artificial preservatives, salts, sugars or glycerines. Their slow, gentle, twin stage air-drying process results in a food that's as nutrient-dense and digestible as a completely raw diet, but safe and clean to handle, and can store for up to 21 months.  A little goes a long way, the recipes are so packed with the good stuff

    Oh my goodness!

    By Mamafirebird on Aug 25, 2021 top100Contributor

I’ve been skeptical of products described as being both a regular food and a treat, but boy, does this stuff deliver on both promises! I have 2 Australian Shepherds, one of which is the least food motivated dog on the planet. It’s a family trait, passed through several generations ; in any litter, the pup who will be the best performing teammate will also be the pickiest eater. <sigh> Keeping my Red Menace in fit, working condition means finding foods he will happily and greedily accept, rather than stare at his meal with an expression indicating he is positive I am trying to poison him! This is pricey, but boy does it help encourage him to eat his dry food offerings with gusto. This is pricey, but boy does it help encourage him to eat his dry food offerings with gusto. I have to break it into tiny bits, because he would pick out all the Ziwi Peak pieces and eat them first (just like I did with the marshmallows in my Lucky Charms cereal when I was small), but this is worth the effort because he will eat all of what he needs to stay in condition. I plan to bring this with me on our next away from home set of show trials, as he is notorious for just refusing any food for several days in a row when he’s performing. A new tempting food item for the fussy pup! By the way, my other Aussie would like everyone to know that she thinks this food is also wonderful, and worth licking the finish off of her bowl to ensure she gets every possible molecule of Ziwi Peak goodness. Great stuff, highly recommended by both my Wet Noses! … more

Omg who knew! Mutton for picky dogs!

By Manbo on Aug 7, 2021

My 2 Pomeranians are so picky. I mean SO picky. You’re not going to believe how picky. Always bugging me for food but won’t eat anything except cheese & fatty cuts of meat but wont even eat that if it’s consecutive. But they love this and I am shocked! I have to have them be starving for them to even attempt to eat any kind of dog food, but they eat this immediately when given. Who knew!! Mutton! I tried Ottogo Valley & they liked that better than any dog food I’ve tried (probably all existing brands on universe), but they still needed to be hungry to eat that. But this! Who would’ve thought! The only downside now is the portions b/c they want more food, but the servings for these are little My 2 Pomeranians are so picky. I mean SO picky. You’re not going to believe how picky. Great food for raw feeders when traveling

    By C2S2 on Aug 23, 2021

My dogs eat mainly raw food. I like having Ziwi Peak air-dried food on hand for when I travel or when I forget to thaw the raw food. My dogs all love it even my picky eater and I believe the quality is wonderful. It is so good, you could also use it as treats or just as a topper on kibble.

    My pups love it!

By Becky on Apr 19, 2021

Initially purchased because my regular food was out of stock and this is similar. I will be staying with Ziwi. Could see an almost immediate improvement in skin and coat. Easy change over from previous food.

    Best training treats

By Iris on Mar 4, 2021

We love this food as it is a great alternative to raw, and is so meat and nutrient dense. We use it as training treats & for travel.

    ZiwiPeak Goat

By Siera on Dec 2, 2020

We love this food!! We use this as a treat meal, usually when I forget to defrost my girl’s raw food. She scarfs it up every time, and gets excited when she sees the bag! 10/10 will buy again.

    high quality

By Kacm on Jul 11, 2020

My dog with EPI is doing well on this food and really likes it. Her diet is limited due to her medical issues w/EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). I have high confidence in the nutritional quality of this food. She is a picky eater and enjoys this food.

    My puppy loves it

By Chris on Oct 7, 2020

He's eager to wolf it down. Yet, I won't use it as a complete meal due to its high fat content.

    Not for my girl

By Sara on Jul 2, 2020

I wanted so badly to like this food, I was willing to pay for such high quality, but it made my poor baby throw up after giving her two kibbles. I tried again, she threw up again (different day) and one more time, and she threw it up again. Be careful with this food.
