    Cats love this flavor best!

    By on

We switched the kitties over to Ziwi because it was the best food for our diabetic cat. Of all the varieties, they like the Hoki the best. It has a softer Texture than the other flavors. but the cats seem to like it better because it is softer and more moist. Even our very, very picky Maine Coon can’t get enough of the Hoki. As noted by another reviewer, it does NOT have any yucky odor, even after remnants sit out for an hour. In every way, this Ziwi Canned Hoki is a real winner for our cats.

    Both cats love it!

I havent yet tried other ziwi flavors for my cats but they love this one. Pate is the best type for my cats who tend to lick gravy and leave chunks of food behind..High quality food. Glad I can get great price on chewy!

Not as “solid” as the other flavors and it smells SUPER fishy!

    By on

My boy loves it but it really smells more fishy than other canned cat food with fish in it. It’s not as solid as their other flavors and it doesn’t stay with my cat. He gets hungrier sooner. I do love this brand though.

    Cats won't touch it

    By on

I had high hopes, my cats need to be eating less processed cat food, due to medical issues. They sniffed around it the first time I opened a can, ate a few licks and walked away. Can't even hide this in less expensive food. my cats usually like the fishy type of food

Worth a try if you can spare the expense

    By on

I went to a local shop that sells by the can and bought 3 of every Ziwi flavor, before committing $50 to a pallet of food she might not like. She ate 100% of all the flavors EXCEPT the hoki. It could be a textural thing, she prefers chunks of food to chew and this is definitely more watery and mushy. Oh well. It's a good quality product, but my cat won't eat it.

    Wonderful smooth soft Paté

    By on

My fur babies have always loved Ziwipeak wet food. Their all time favorite is the lamb and rabbit, but they love the Hoki fish smooth soft texture. It’s a very light fish with a very mild scent. It’s great for sensitive tummy’s or older cats with missing teeth.

    MY FELINES LOVE THIS FOOD

    By on

Any time I try a new cat food I always check out the 'aroma' when opening the can. Expecting another 'ugh' I was amazed by the fresh and appealing contents. There is always a bit of fish oil too that is present in the can. The cats go crazy for it and their coats are gorgeous and shining....the Hoki recipe receives an A+ from Levi and Luca.

    The fishy smell too heavy

Make my cat have a bad breath, but other ziwi canned food is fine.

    One Cat LOVES It

    By on

We’ve got a velociraptor/goat hybrid that we call Bonkers. He’ll eat anything, up to and including plastic and paper, and will tear the house apart to find anything that’s even touched food. So it wasn’t a question of whether he’d eat this food, because he’s eaten a box of kleenex and an eraser before. No, the thing that’s amazing is how *calm* he is on this food. Ya don’t name a cat Bonkers if he’s not more than a little crazy, but the prowling and feeding frenzies have calmed down a LOT since we started him on this. Dunno what it’s got that he was missing before, but so far — knock on wood — it’s turned our velocigoat into a kitty. Our other cat doesn’t love the texture, but will pick his way through it because he loves fish. So BonkBonk gets all the Ziwi to himself and the regular cat gets a cheaper food. … more

I think it’s quality food, but my cats don’t like it

    By on

I have three cats, and none of them liked this food. It seems they all prefer duck or turkey. The quality of the food is excellent though.
