    Licked bowl clean

    By on

This was an instant hit with my senior picky paw who has a chicken allergy and isn’t overly excited by food generally speaking (only bonito flakes). She tends to prefer fish slurry (Earthborn Monterey medley was a longtime favorite) but has recently decided she is over it (?!) which has left me scrambling to find an alternative. With this she licked the bowl clean (this never happens) and seems excited now for food (this never happens). So I’m pleasantly surprised. Definitely superior quality with great ingredients and thankfully no chickpeas like the other formulations. She used to devour the Ziwi Peak rabbit & venison recipes until they started adding in the chickpeas and then it was a no go This was an instant hit with my senior picky paw who has a chicken allergy and isn’t overly excited by food generally speaking (only bonito flakes). And best of all, I noticed she seemed more playful and energetic since I started her on this and even more snuggly (so her skin and digestion aren't bothering her which is great). Will order again. Highly recommend. … more

    Amazing Alternative to Raw

    By on

I had to stop feeding my sphynx a raw diet after his diagnosis with GI small cell lymphoma. I've been feeding him the standard line of Ziwi products for over a year and I've been incredibly happy with the quality and safety of their products. The only sticking point has been the loss of bone in his diet. Bone does wonders for firming stool, and for a kitty with IBS and small cell lymphoma this is invaluable. Otago and it's prey-balanced formula are a game changer! The amount of ground bone in this formula immediately firmed Winston's poo which is no small feat. I cannot recommend this food highly enough! Winston loves it and I love no longer having to follow him around to wipe his booty. Thank I had to stop feeding my sphynx a raw diet after his diagnosis with GI small cell lymphoma. Not for My Cats

    By on

My cats LOVE the Ziwi canned venison, so when I saw the great reviews for this, I was excited to try it. I think Ziwi is terrific quality food, but my 3 kitties refuse to eat this particular flavor. I will donate the unused cans to a rescue.

A hit with a very picky cat with stomach issues

    By on

Woody gobbled up his first can of Otago Valley, almost licking the bowl clean. I thought I was buying Woody quality food over the years but he started having bloody diarrhea. Switching to Ziwi Peak and Feline Natural has improved his condition immensely. The consistency of Otago Valley is a little dry so I mixed in a little water. I hope enjoys the East Cape recipe.

    Cat approves with some reservation

    By on

My cat did not take to this food right away, it took a good 10-12 days of mixing it with his old food before he started eating it by itself. This food is quality, and I am going to keep it in his wet food rotation. It is however very expensive, and I am not sure if it is that much better than other foods with better prices? The food is of pate consistency, I wish it was more saucy as that is what my cat prefers, but he actually eats it ok if I chop it up into pieces. Now, this food is very smelly, possibly because of the mussels and kelp and whatever else they put in there, and my husband really dislikes the smell, so I can only feed it when he is at work. Another great Ziwi product

    By on

Three older cats, they love it. I feed them a variety of Ziwi canned and their coats are shiny.
