Description

Feed your dog farm to bowl nutrition with the Ziwi Peak Daily-Dog Venison Cuisine Grain-Free Air-Dried Dog Food. Simple and pure, just like the Ziwi love for dogs, this recipe gives your pal the best of New Zealand. Using a gentle twin-stage air-drying process, they naturally preserve all the ingredients, which also eliminates pathogenic bacteria. There’s no need to rehydrate since the air-dried food contains more moisture than dry kibble—and because there’s also no need for preservatives, sugars and glycerines, the food is safe, clean and easy to handle. In fact, it’s just as nutritious and digestible as a completely raw diet, in the convenient form of air dried.

Key Benefits

  • 100% single-sourced venison is free-range and grass-fed on ethical and sustainable New Zealand farms; free of antibiotics, growth promotants and added hormones.
  • Gentle twin-stage air-drying process eliminates pathogenic bacteria while naturally preserving and protecting the nutrients in all of the ingredients.
  • Includes 98% fresh meat, organs, bones and New Zealand green mussels—a natural source of chondroitin and glucosamine, which supports joint health.
  • 95% digestible, high-protein and high-kilocalorie diet packs more power than raw food or kibble so you can feed smaller quantities per day.
  • Complete and balanced, limited-ingredient formula never include grains, corn, soy, potatoes, wheat, rice, fillers, sugars, glycerins, rendered meals or preservatives.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

If I give my pet a Ziwi Peak treat, how much food should I feed?

There is a lot of goodness in every Ziwi Peak treat, so we recommend you modify the amount of Ziwi Peak food at feeding time. Your pet won’t need as much if he or she has had treats, so reduce accordingly. Much as pets love them, Ziwi Peak treats don’t make a complete daily diet. Use them as a premium real-meat treat to occasionally reward your dog or cat’s good behavior.

  • dog didnt approve :-/

I ordered this in hopes that our finicky eater dog would eat this. We have tried so many food and we thought he would like this , especially based on positive reviews. Unfortunately, our pup just sniffed it away...so we tried a different method and added warm water into this air dried food and let it soak in a little bit and see if it would entice him... again, he just sniffed it away... :-( Maybe its the flavor or maybe because its a bit hard to chew..but I guess even with soaking it with water wouldnt work for him. I looked at the ingredients and its definitely a great dog food and it can be good for all other dogs..I guess its just not tasty enough for our pup so I had to return it. • Picky Pup Approved !!!

    By on

If you have a picky pup (6months) you know the pain haha Wet food goes dry, kibble untouched and cooked foods aren't always the most easiest or most well rounded. Should I go raw, can I go raw - should I cook are all questions when you have a picky up and are trying to pack in the nutrients. I've noticed she's love dehydrated treats like Honest kitchen Jerky so I bought this especially seeing how many more nutrients where in it and .... it was an instant love ! Yes does still not eat from the bowl but hey baby steps ! Lol want to try more from this brand

  • Too hard for my dog

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I have given this to my dog before and didn’t have a problem with it. She’s 14, doesn’t have all her teeth, so I break the pieces into quarters and soak in warm water for a few minutes. I tried it with this batch and first of all I couldn’t break it at all, and second, even after soaking for 10 minutes in warm water it was still as hard as a rock. My dog is small she only weighs 8 lbs so there was no way I was feeding her this food. It was like shards of glass. I have given her the lamb and beef with no problems. Just beware if you have to break it up you might have trouble with the venison. It’s a great food otherwise and hopefully this was just a bad batch.

  • Gave my Dog Gas

    By on

ZiwiPeak Venison dog food came recommended. I was told it was better than kibble & "95% digestible", but it gave my 1-year-old Norfolk Terrier gas. I found the food had a strong odor (possibly from the New Zealand Green Mussel). After using ZiwiPeak Venison for about 6 weeks, I gave up and switched my dog to limited ingredient duck and potato kibble that I had been using for 14 years with my other dog. Now there's no gas and he reliably eliminates.

  • GREAT FOOD GREAT SERVICE

My sheltie loves this food. She has been iffy about some other foods. Not very interested in her kibbles. But she LOVES both the wet and the kibbles.

  • Insanity how all 4 dogs LOVE it!

    By on

Wow! I added this as a topper to their Kangaroo food, as they all have allergies, and they ate every single bit so fast it was insane! Then all 4 are scrounging the floor for any dropped morsel! Then as treats they will assume their positions as soon as they hear the bag!! It's amazing so far!! They LOVE IT!!! I've not ever had them scrounging before!! Not like this! To them it's the best thing ever and they know awesome food lol trust me!

  • Used as a treat

    By on

I was looking for an alternative to the venison treat I used to get for my pup. This works well. She loves the flavor and it didn't make her sick like the other brand.
