Do I just need one for the entire house or do I need to do one in each room or just where there’s carpet? I’ve never done this before.

It is recommended to use one fogger for each 375 square feet of floor space.
My furnace and water heater are in the basement and I just plan on bombing the main house. Do I still need to turn off their pilot lights?

In this situation, with your furnace and water heater being isolated away from the area the fogger is applied, you would not have to turn them off. If you happen to have a gas stove within the area, you would need to turn the gas off.
How long after set off can we go back in

Do not re-enter for two hours. Air out the room before entering. Keep treated area closed for at least two hours, then open all doors and windows and allow treated area to air for two hours before returning. Pets should not re-enter room for a minimum of 4 hours after use of the Fogger.
can the pets stay in the house when this is used?

This fogger is safe for pets when used as directed. Please remove pets, birds, and cover and turn off fish aquariums before fogging an area. After activating fogger, vacate the treated house, individual apartment unit or other structure immediately. Do not re-enter for two hours. Air out the room before entering. Keep treated area closed for at least two hours, then open all doors and windows and allow treated area to air for two hours before returning.
