The description? Led me to think a bulb was included? So I didn’t read on! To get free shipping? I ordered an item I really didn’t need! Upon receiving my order? It was then I noticed? No bulb! So I went back to read on? And after the description? Added benefits? BULB NOT INCLUDED! How is that a added benefit? My bad for not reading past the description the first time? I guess? I would have ordered the bull to obtain free shipping, rather ordering an item I did not need! I feel BULB NOT INCLUDED? Should have been in the description, rather than ? ADDED BENEFITS! Bulb not included? Is not an added benefit! So I ordered a bulb elsewhere that provided? FREE SHIPPING! The lamp stand works as the Description says? But only with a bulb included! It does not work as the Description says without a bulb!
I set it up in between both of my bird’s cages and set it on a timer so that it can turn on at the same time every day. So excited for my bird babies to have the UV light they need.
Great Light...easy to assemble...works well ...I have 2 cages ...a smaller one and a large flight cage...I have one lamp on the smaller one and 2 on the flight cage
Zoo Med Avian Sun Deluxe Floor Lamp
Very well made and the base is sturdy. I use it for my cockatiel. You have to buy the bulb separately which is fine. For my cockatiel, the bulb that I bought was also by Zoo Med. It is called Avian Sun 5.0 UVB. Both products are very good. Her feathers have gotten softer when using the bulb. I use it only for about six hours each day but you could use it more but talk to your vet first. Follow the instructions that come with the bulb regarding the "burn in" period.
