Our three toed box turtle really likes this food. I put it on a flat ceramic coaster so he can get up to it and eat better. I usually give him 1/4 of a can every few days and he eats most if not all of it. He never took to any of the other commercial turtle diets but also eats crickets and worms. Strawberries are his favorite when they are in season. Whatever he doesn't eat I put in the chicken bucket so nothing goes to waste.
Not one of my four adult Eastern box turtles will touch it. Gave it a quick sniff and then walked away. Too bad that I bought a dozen cans. I have a new yearling CB North American Wood Turtle. Perhaps he might be interested in it when he gets a bit older but right now he chows down his Mazuri aquatic turtle pellets.
Great job speedy delivery always has product in stock will always refer my friends and family thank you
They would not touch it. I tried this but all turtles left it
My Three-Toed Box Turtle, King Charles appears to not like this stuff. I gave it three stars because it smells fresh, and has good ingredients. I also bought freeze dried crickets to add to this, but it seems to not have made any difference. King Charles just barely woke up yesterday, on St. Patty's Day from his hibernation. He's in very good shape - strong, and well-muscled. He was down since late November. His regular diet is Night Crawlers with blueberries and/or strawberries. I sprinkle calcium on that when necessary, and he does get daily natural sun. He has green edible plants growing near him, but he never eats any of them. I thought he might partake of this canned food - especially with the addition of the crickets. To be fair he did "taste" the first dish I put down for him, yesterday. Maybe he'll warm up to it - but I'm not holding my breath. After all he's been with me since 1995 and eating this same worm/berry diet since then - with maybe a few grubs, snails and canned dog food added once in a great while. I offered it to him again today - but he didn't even "taste" it this time. So, I went out and bought him some worms. Oh well!
Wondering why the first time I ordered this from chewy $1.59 a can went to the auto ship to manage it and they went up to $3.99 a can so I canceled it
I will not buy it again. It stinks real bad and my boxed turtle does not like. He won't even look at it when I put it in front of him. Wasted money.
Our box turtles love the Zoo Menu Box Turtle Food, and so do our dogs! Great food, but we have to lock the pups inside when we are feeding the box turtles!
My turtles love this food, I also mix in meal worms, shrimps, some other fresh fruits and veggies as well. They chow down like hogs every day.
My Eastern box turtle would not touch it I tried several different times. She will eat regular can dog food though, Just not for this box turtle, maybe others will possibly like it. I don’t know I didn’t try it.
