  • Habba Huts are amazing

I buy a lot of turtle "furniture." Habba hut actually lives us to expectations. My turtles I call destructo turtles because they break anything in there cage. This is the one thing that truly lasts a long time. I usually have to buy new ones in 1 to 3 years. They really do last!!!

  • One size do not fit all.

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I wish Chewy would sell different sizes for this. Don't get me wrong - I like this log. It barely fits my 18 inch blue tongue skink, who is also pretty chubby (About 4 inches across). He is able to go through the log and climb on it when he feels like it. The bark pieces do not crumble or fall off as I thought they would, especially when Homer rubs his fat belly across. However, Chewy only sells this size which means is problematic for anything that needs a small or bigger hiding space. This log will NOT fit a turtle or tortoise unless they are super small.

  • Too Small for Small Tortoise

    By on

Unfortunately the Habba Hut was too short and too narrow for my small Russian Tortoise. Rather than send it back, I glued Lincoln Logs to the bottom to raise the tunnel, but the tortoise still didn't seem too interested (NOT the fault of the item). The hut would be good for a younger Russian Tortoise. Mine is ~15 y.o.
