  • Great product

My aquatic turtle is 5+ years old and was raised on Zoo Med Growth Formula. He goes crazy for it. He doesn't care for the Zoo Med Maintenance Formula nor the Exo Terra Aquatic Turtle Adult food. I use the Zoo Med 10 UVB bulb as well. My turtle is very strong, lively, a runner, and has a hard shell.

  • My turtle loves it.

I originally bought this just to switch things up. My turtle had been eating the same food for years. He's at a healthy weight now because of this food and I'm confident he's getting the nutrients he needs. He seems to prefer it too. Great food overall.

  • Pieces are too large for smaller turtles

    By on

This food is described to be for turtles 2-6 inches however the pellets are are entirely too large for smaller turtles. I have a painted turtle between 3 and 4 inches in length and he struggles to try to eat them then he finally gives up on them. I have also noticed that once they are soft enough for him to tear apart he spits it right back out making a huge mess in his tank. I'm sure the quality is great but the size of the pieces are too big for turtles on the smaller end of the recommended size range which is the reason for the 2 stars.
