Questions & Answers

can I adjust the temperature?
Answer by ChewyApr 12, 2022
The Paludarium heater allows you to adjust the temperature to your preferred preference.

What is the minimum number of gallons of water that this will work in? The "details" say the heater is 3 in x 5 in. x 10 inches, but the box appears to show a round item? What is the height (If the unit is laid flat on the bottom of the aquarium)?
Answer by ChewyApr 01, 2022
When the heater is laid flat on the bottom of the tank it is about 2 inches tall. Zoo Med makes three sizes of paludarium heater for different gallon sizes. The 25 watt is for about 5-10 gallons of water the 50 watt is for 15 gallons of water and the 100 watt is for up to 30 gallons of water.

Can this heater be used out of water? Like a heat fan for and incubator?
Answer by ChewyFeb 26, 2022
This heater is designed for use in water in aquatic habitats only. It is equipped with a safety shut-off feature that turns the heating element off if the heater is exposed to air.
