Product works just fine and setup is easy but should be warned that only SOME of the outlets on the strip work with the timer. Bought two and spent 3 days wondering why the lights weren't turning off when they were supposed to before I started trying the different outlets.
I bought it really excited to have a timer for my frog lights! I followed the directions to a tee and the timer doesn’t work. It just stays on and doesn’t toggle power :( it’s just a regular power block at this point
The timed outlets do not work Ive tried every different way with no luck
I was iffy about buying this because of the reviews it I have no clue what everyone is talking about. This is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. My tortoise is very happy having a consistent light schedule, and I’m happy I get to stay in bed longer! I recommend it a 1000%!
This day and night timer is just a "on or off" along with 4 plugs that are always on, it will not turn off your day light, and turn on your night light, you need two timers for this, and carefully set them to turn on and off at the right timing so your pet isn't left in the dark, i grabbed a single outlet timer for my nightlight, its set to turn off a bit before the day light, turns on before the day lights are off, bit of a mess but it works.
Just what I needed. Would have given it a 5 star, if I was able to control (2) different loads at different adjustable times. It does have 4 controlled and 4 non-controlled outlets. The controlled outlets are all controlled by one timer. Other than that it does what it's supposed to do.
I have been using this brand timer/outlet for a long while now. I have several in my home as I have 8 planted tanks. As any fishkeeper knows that has live plants making sure your plants have adequate lighting, water parameters and such is already a hassle....this takes one aspect and makes it automatic. Off whenever you set and on whenever you set it. If you need to turn them on at night for any reason you just flip the white switch on the side and it turns the timer portion off. I like that it's labeled and simple.
We bought this because my adhd son keeps forgetting to turn the light on and off for his bearded dragon. In the morning the things you push down to make it come on at a certain time just pop back up and doesn’t turn on. We reset it and it will work the first day but not the next. So it only works 50% of the time. We just have to leave the night heater on 24/7 so that his cage doesn’t cool off too much at night because there is only one time setting. I plan to buy him some smart outlets to replace this.
Worked well for what I needed, but after only 8/9 months, started making concerning sounds and had to be replaced.
It only programs for one shut on/off time. So I can’t hook up my day AND night bulbs. I can have one or the other which defeats the purpose for providing a proper day/night cycle. Dumb.
