  • Great supplement for my anxious dog

    By on

My dog had severe separation anxiety when I first adopted her. I bought these treats and they helped keep her relaxed and chill when I had to go to work. They stink pretty badly but dogs love stinky things! She loves these but I've offered them to other dogs before with little success (an acquired taste?). I take my girl to a sitter one day a week. I usually dont give her a calming treat on those days but I forgot once and gave her one, my sitter was commenting that she was super calm and unusually chill that day! They're less effective for really stressful situations like the 4th of July but that makes sense and you can just double the amount you give.

  • Life Saver!!

    By on

I purchased these on a whim the day before we left for our first camping trip with our rescue pup. Desperate for something to help her relax on our trip. She's a little over a year old but we rescued her at about 9 months. She loves going in the car because she knows she's going somewhere fun but cries uncontrollably the entire time, especially when she cannot be in the front seat! She's also got a bit of separation anxiety and gets very upset when all of her people are not in the same place. We were concerned how she'd do on her first camping trip. Especially with the travel because it was a 4 hour ride to our location. We gave her one of these about an hour before we left. Especially with the travel because it was a 4 hour ride to our location. We gave her one of these about an hour before we left. Saw little effect, however it was very anxiety evoking for her to watch us pack the car, especially once she saw her crate and bowls go in the car! Then because we had so many people and a lot of stuff, her DADDY and Brothers were in a separate car! Needless to say we wound up giving her a second chew about a half hour into the trip because she was freaking out in the car. About 20 minutes later she settled and even fell asleep for the last half of the trip. Something shes never done in the car! We continued to use them throughout the trip at various stressful times for her and one chew seemed to work fine on those occasions. One chew pretty much keeps her calm but alert. She's a 30lb Shiba Inu/Blue heeler mix. I've even given her half a chew at times. They are simple to cut. They do smell horrible but that's the valerian root. There's just no way to mask that amazing herb! These were a lifesaver on our trip AND....my dog LOVES them! I highly recommend them. We now keep a supply on hand at all times! The price is very reasonable too. … more

  • YUCK / Not Recommended

    By on

I decided to give these a try vs the others ive read about and im very unhappy I did. They are extremely HARD, so cutting them in half for my tiny dachshund like recommended was horrible. They STINK, gross. Last my dog didnt enjoy it and thought it was a toy. He was spitting it out and playing with it. Then left it and walked away. VERY UNHAPPY. Im going to order different brand.

Theses definitely help,I was not sure how well they would work however I have to say anytime you can help calm my 50 lb staffordshire terroir down you have accomplished a lot even with all his training he is still hyper, so I would have to say they are great ! especially for when it is time for grooming

  • Wouldn't go without this

    By on

This helps both my pups. It seems to take the edge off for both of them. One suffers from separation anxiety and the other one was recommend to be put on prescription anti-anxiety meds . Helps them both focus for training and helps ease their mind in new situations.

  • worked like a dream!

    By on

In fact she was dreaming! These worked perfectly for what we needed them for. They calmed her during the storm, she was even snoring. BUT she was able to be awakened and alert when called. I really like the idea that they are natural and can be given with out side effects.

  • Doesn't work

    By on

I purchased this product as my dog is terrified of wind and storms. It didn't seem to help at all. Although he lived them as a treat. This in no way reflects how I feel about chewy. I love them, their prices and quick shipping.

  • They help!

    By on

We have a 1 yr old rescued lab mix. Poor guy just got the short end when it comes to health, and as a result is very skittish. I tried this on a whim to see if they help him with all transitions. So far so good.

  • How to Calm a Nervous Dog!

    By on

We have a terrier who is afraid of thunder, fireworks, etc. We have the thunder coat and spray, but this works so much better. He stops shaking and calms down within 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend it!

I bought these for my puppy when we would go on long car rides in hopes that it would calm his nerves. They are stinky and very hard. They didn't work out well for us he still has anxiety in the car.
