Nutritious and Delicious
My little cockatiel, Soshi loves this food and since she gobbles it up, I'm assuming she loves it; I know it's nutritious with no color dyes. Only the best for my girl.
Refused to eat
I thought my cockatiel would love this and he refused to eat... these birds are super picky
Fast delivery and great prices from chewy!
I got a lot of food for my Nanday Conure. It all came fast and he just loves it. The price was excellent and I will definitely be buying all my bird food from them.
Always a hit with my conures
While seeds make up only a small part of my 3 conures diet the birds dive in as soon as I place a serving in their cage.
Too many insects!
I've been feeding my Cockatiels this for several years and they really like it. However, I recently switched to a different brand sold at a local place and realized that the seed I was getting from Chewy is full of seed moths. I didn't see any moths with the new food, but I had a bag of this left and gave it to them and now bugs everywhere!
I have a recent rescue who loves seed but was on a terrible seed diet. I have changed her over to this; she loves it. I hope to convert her to pellets eventually, but this is a nice mix of seed, fruit, and veggies.
My young cockatiel loves this. Try this and yours will like it also
My cockatiel won't eat it
I am trying to improve my bird's diet. Unfortunately she would not touch this mix when I introduced it to her. But I will keep trying, mixing it with her old food or sprinkling some in the cage.
Lenny the African Grey
Even though Lenny is not a cockatiel, he loves the Sensible Seed. He is an African Grey and very picky. He does get many treats and a well balanced diet. I was so happy to find it since the other parrot seed has been discontinued.
Well worth it!
I tried this after purchasing Kaytee Forti-Diet Pro Health for MONTHS but feeling like I was throwing most of it away. Although cheap, we wasted a lot because my 2 cockatiels had their favorite seed, which was the canary grass seed and white millet, which isn't that healthy. They left big pieces. I took a chance on this after trying other things and encountering the same thing. My birds LOVE this mix. They not only forage more as they should but they don't waste. I no longer have to throw most of it away because they're eating all of it and all of the pieces they're picking at. I used to purchase the ZuPreem FruitBlend separately but no longer need to. Although more expensive, this is what I'll go for now. I have 2 VERY PICKY birds (one preferring anything that is yellow), and one has a gallbladder, which isn't typical for a cockatiel, and she is eating this more than others with less lethargy than before.
