Zymox was founded in 1998 by Pamela Bosco, who sought to change the way that people treated and managed ear, oral and skin infections with a safer alternative to antibiotics. Enlisting the help of her brother—a scientist that developed the enzyme technology in Biotene—Bosco formulated a powerful enzyme-based solution to help treat infections in dogs, cats and horses with no toxins, chemicals or antibiotics. Committed to keeping all four-legged pals healthy, they offer USA-made and sourced products to treat, soothe and protect against bacterial and fungal infections gently and 100% naturally.

    itchy allergy relief!

By Jenn on Sep 24, 2021

My 2 year old yorkie/bichon mix has really bad allergies that cause her to itch and bite at her back legs until she pulls all the hair out and irritates her skin raw. She’s been to the vet for it a lot (apoquel, steroids, shampoos, cytopoint). She’s currently not on any medication, but had a flare up. I put this ointment on the affected area twice a day while also either having her wear a cone or pajamas as to not bother it. After about a week her skin looks SO much better and isn’t itchy. I’ll definitely be keeping this on hand for future flare ups!!

    Excellent product again from Zymox

By Bebe on Jun 15, 2021

Great product for small wounds on my indoor/outdoor cat. Probably would not use on a puncture, since I wouldn't want to seal anything in, but it is great for healing and helping with pain or itching from a wound or fresh scab. My cat seems relieved when it is applied, since just cleaning wounds with chlorhexadine spray, or the like, tends to leave the wound dry and itchy. This cream is a great topper to keep it moist and a little hydrocortisone to keep from itching. Does not seem to bother him if he licks it. Thank you! Also LOVE the ear products!!

    This stuff is great

By Samantha on May 23, 2021

My cat went missing for 3 months and just randomly showed up one day, skinny and half the fur on her head gone. I suspected ringworm so I got this stuff and within a week all the scaley parts and redness disappeared and now her fur looks like it's trying to grow back. I put this on her once a day every day. Using it on my bulldogs paws now, he likes to chew them. I dont know how well it's working on them but it worked on my cat. I'll probably always keep this product on hand.

    Was hoping for paw relief

By BirdieB on May 11, 2021

For years I have relied upon Zymox products. This did not work as well as it used to for my GSD raw and red paws. It seemed to lack the thickness it once had. Overall, I am not sure the product quality is what it used to be. Also, 65+ positive reviews, many seem as if they were written by a marketing company. Chewy, please do not allow fake reviews. I would recommend the product on the condition it was manufactured with the same quality as previously. Perhaps I received an “off” batch.

Wanted this to work so badly!

By Frenchie on Apr 21, 2021

My Frenchie suffers from seasonal allergies, and she will itch her skin raw when they are acting up! A friend of mine has GREAT success with this product for her own Frenchie and her allergies, but unfortunately it did not work for us. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried for a few weeks and it did not even give her a second of relief. Hopefully we can find something that works better!

Replenishing my first aid kit for the cats.

By KadDM on May 5, 2021

Replenishing my first aid kit for the cats. What I had was out of date and because I have never had to use it. I like to keep the kit stocked just in case.

    Great for German Shepherd's ears

By SwampFox on Feb 4, 2021

My German Shepard gets dry, itchy ears often, and then will exacerbate the issue by continuously scratching at the inside of his ears. This stuff works wonders! I put a glob of it on a tissue, and massage it on the skin in his ear. One application will usually be enough to heal the skin. If he has scratched at it quite a bit, it takes maybe two or three applications to completely heal the skin over the course of a few days. And he actually likes having it applied! He gets all excited when I pick up the tube.

    Worked for me!

By elle on Jan 26, 2021

My cat had this rash for months. It started small - little spots here and there, then spread and gathered around his armpits, thighs, and back of the legs. And yes, I had taken him to the vet on more than one occasion for this - they were no help. So, before going to a dermatologist and spending hundreds for a consultation (+ long waiting list), I decided to try this out. After a week of applying once daily, the rash is almost completely gone. (Though please still see your vet first, what works for my cat may not work for yours!)
