Condition away your pet’s skin troubles with the Zymox Veterinary Strength Enzymatic Dog & Cat Leave-on Conditioner. Using the healing power of enzymes, which are naturally occurring proteins, this rinse is highly effective against bacterial and fungal microbes, as well as itchy, inflamed skin from allergies. It works by destroying the offending organisms and creating a protective barrier, using the increased potency of the proven antimicrobial LP3 Enzyme System plus vitamin D3 that also hydrates the skin. You can use it as a leave-in conditioner for residual effectiveness, and apply it full strength to the most problematic areas. With no harsh ingredients, it’s gentle enough for even puppies and kittens, with a pleasing, mild fragrance.

Vet recommended for dogs general itchiness. Followed vet's advice, mixing water and conditioner in a spray bottle to apply several times a week. Worked great. Continued to have problem areas, especially the undercarriage and paws. Applied it full strength as a lotion, what a relief! The dog settles right down and have applied on consecutive days with no issues on paws. Since starting lotion application on paws have cut way back on medicated mouse for paws as she has inter-digital cysts.
I purchased this to use for my cat and the pups I watch. It has a very powerful odor that smells like fragrance mixed with plastic. It is too greasy to use as a leave in conditioner on dry fur in my opinion but may be fine to rinse out or use a smaller amount on freshly shampooed fur.
I just bought these for my pug dog with skin allergies. I must say this works better than so many others I have used to treat her skin problems. I like the leave in conditioner such a great smell and no itching
My cat has very dry coat and allergies- I try everything to keep his hair from falling out. Only used this for a week. Put a dab in my palms and rub into coat once a day. It absorbs quickly and smells great! Makes the coat soft, shiny and moisturized. He doesn't mind or notice the treatment. Think it will help his coat
My poodle has sebaceous adenitis, a disease that causes destruction of the sebaceous glands and thus incredibly dry damaged skin. I tried this on a whim and it really helps the extra dry spots! I apply it directly on the really bad spots while he’s dry and leave it on, and I mix it with water and another product in a spray bottle to treat his whole body. It smells great, doesn’t leave an icky residue, and seems to provide some good relief.
We rescued a puppy who came to us in very poor health, among many other things she had bald patches all over and shed like you would not believe. The vet couldn't find anything obvious (like ringworm or mange), and she improved with months of proper nutrition and antiseptic treatments, but her shedding barely slowed down. She is short haired / smooth coated and threw hair off to such an extreme that vacuuming our bedroom weekly would fill up the canister TWICE. After months of bathing her with heavy moisturizing washes, Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Antifungal Medicated Shampoo, giving her salmon oil and other supplements, and putting on prescription topicals every day, I was sort of at the end of my rope. Nothing slowed down the dander and hair flying off her at all times. Finally I tried this enzyme conditioner after reading the reviews for it and one million other possible products to try, and after only TWO BATHS with this she has a totally normal coat. I couldn't believe it. The first bath washed out the usual heaps of hair, second one was a lot but way less than before, and ever since then she's been totally normal. I rinsed it out like normal conditioner, too, though lightly to try to leave some behind. I still bathe her with it somewhat regularly but her shedding never increases between baths, so it's not entirely temporary like the normal moisturizing washes are. Cannot recommend this stuff enough. It is true that it is fragranced, but it's not that bad. I use fragrance-free everything (personal and household products) because strong fragrances give me migraines, but I'm not bowled over by the way this smells when I bathe my dog. I don't notice the smell lingering on her much, either, and it fades away quickly. For reference I'll often get a headache if I burn a single scented candle somewhere in the house. So I'm pretty sensitive, but your mileage may vary.
If your pet has itchy skin than this is what you and your pet has been looking for
My female cat has some incontinence and this awesome product has become part of our hygiene routine. Her bottom is shaved to try to keep the urine from soaking into her fur, yuck. Still, cat urine is super concentrated & very irritating to skin. I clean her off with unscented baby wipes, and once she dries, I apply this like a lotion to her genitals & on the underside of her tail. Some ointments and barrier creams we've tried in the past seemed to bother her, and she'd be scooting or biting at her back legs within a couple minutes of applying them. Not this product! She seems happy to have me put it on her. It's helped tremendously with her skin integrity--as much as our previous courses of topical steroids, but without the drawbacks. Use this product as liberally as you would use a lotion. The enzymes give the skin a chance to heal. This stuff is a soothing lotion and similar to a probiotic for the skin all in one.
For a year I have been treating him for skin allergy "Dermatitus" I was told. $60. a month for a shot first then that wore off in three weeks and turned to Apoquil. $60. a month for Apoquil as well. It worked for 9 months and wasn't effective anymore. Then took him to a new vet she and said try these products instead and gave me a couple sample packets which worked great so far at a month down the line. So I ordered the products together here at a $30. total a they should last three months or more at the level of use that Ska needs. Shampoo once a week and daily applications of the leave-on conditioner at full strength. These are concentrated so it doesn't take much for my Boston Terrier. SKA is doing pretty well with the shampoo and leave-on conditioner I'm using. Give these a try?
Excellent cream rinse for our seasonal environmental allergy girl. We gentle rinse and leave most of it on. Smells great for days, makes her very soft, and seems to help with itching. Tip: In between washes, I rub some with water in my hands and massage it in. It refreshes and soothes and also works way better than a coat spray to make her smell great.
