Broke in less than a week
The plastic piece that allows you to adjust the length of this collar broke within the first few days. It will no longer stay at the needed length and so is useless. This is not the quality I expected from Carhartt
Carhartt collar
I cannot believe all of the bad reviews on this. I guess everyone's experience is different. We got an orange one for my dog and it looks great on his. His tags are attached to it, and we can use any brand leash. The collar doesn't unhook and he's never got away from. I think it's very well made. WE love it!! Coming back for the leash. Hope they make an orange one to match the collar.
Nice collar, but leash falls off
Have to use carhartt leash with this collar, otherwise all other leashes come unclipped with the way the collar ring is designed. Super scary first time it happened.
Well Made collar
This is a very nice collar. It is well made and has good quality materials. The only thing I would like to add to it would be a handle to grab onto.
Well made with reflective thread
This is a quality product that we take on an off multiple times to switch to invisible fence collar. The clip is sturdy and wearing well.
Broken within the first week
Disappointed in carhartt by this. Had the collar for under a week and the clip broke. My dog is only about 60lbs, must not be made of very strong material.
junk collar
All the hardware on my dogs collar has broken and he’s only had it maybe 3 months. You’d think for the price and brand it would be a sturdy collar but I wouldn’t waste my money on another carhartt dog product
buckle is weak
The collar is made well and looks good. I like the reflective thread and metal detail. However, the buckle has failed us 3 times now. The first time the buckle failed (unclasped) I thought it was a fluke. Then it has happened 2 more times. Once when I tried to grab my pup to keep her from bolting across the street. It isn’t broken, it just doesn’t withstand a hard pull.
Good buy and strong
You can count on Carhart to deliver a quality product.
Not my favorite
The design and quality isn't bad, it looks quite cute on my pup. My biggest dislike is that the metal on the collar has such a strong smell and it also makes my dog's neck smell that way as well.. It's not great.
