Feeding Instructions
Feed to your pet as a healthy reward or snack. Adjust the serving size according to the size of your pet. If your pet is hesitant to eat the grass from the planter, you can try cutting some pieces up and putting it with their food, or some pets even prefer to eat the bits from the floor. You can spritz the grass with water or hide a treat in the grass to encourage feeding.
Instructions
Before starting a new batch of Pet Grass make sure to remove old soil and clean planter with warm, soapy water. To extend the life of the planter we recommend hand washing.
- Remove packaging and add contents of 1 soil pack to planter
- Add enough warm (not hot) water to fully saturate the soil (about 4- 6 ounces)
- After water absorbs, stir soil and allow to sit for about 10 minutes
- Fluff soil and remove about 2-3 tbsp. soil and set aside
- Sprinkle seeds evenly over soil
- Cover seeds with 1/8-inch soil and gently press soil over seeds
- Place planter in a warm, semi dark area (just away from direct light, not in complete darkness as it may cause mold). NOTE: For faster results cover planter loosely with plastic wrap just until first sprouts appear (about 1 -2 days)
- After sprouts appear, remove plastic wrap and move to a sunny location
- Keep soil moist (DO NOT OVER WATER) until grass reaches 3 inches. Check moisture daily. Once established: do not over water.
- In about 4 or 5 days, once grass reaches about 4-5 inches it is ready to feed to your pet.

It works in that the seeds do grow into grass fairly quickly (maybe a week or so). My cats do like eating it. I know it's safer than letting them eat grass from outside which could be contaminated or something. However, the grass strands are quite long, so you do need to be mindful that your cat doesn't choke on it. Also the grass only lives for about 7 days or so before the whole thing turns brown and dies - no matter how well you take care of it & no matter if cats were eating it or not. I guess this type of grass just has a very short lifespan?
Grows Quickly
When placed in good potting soil, these seeds grow quite quickly. My cat happily feasts on them for around 4-6 weeks. Our favorite cat grass.

Not good lately
I used to have more lack in the past. In the last two sets, only a few seeds sprouted, and mold developed.

Hello, so I purchased this set and planted the seeds as you can see in the photos but each time it grows there’s mold in it. Both times now. Is that common? I’m guessing that is not supposed to happen, and my cat already has elevated liver enzymes so giving him moldy grass probably isn’t the best idea. There’s a hole in the bottom of the pot too so not sure why mold is growing there both times bummer. I really did like the product/idea however it’s just not safe to give my cat.
This litter clumbs beautifully

I have one cat but I still order the multi- cat litter. I use this litter because it clumps so you don't have pieces in your litter box. I have hard wood floors and this litter is so small, like sand so it's not noticable on my floors. The only thing that I didn't like was that it does smell immediately after my cat uses it. So, I purchased a freshness booster that I sprinkle over the litter. (safe for cats). Only a small amount. I highly recommend this litter

I have 2 cats and they tried to eat the grass, unfortunately they pulled the whole stock of grass( roots, dirt and all) out of the container. The container was very light, so I had to anchor it into another container to hold it so they could use it. After a few attempts to eat the grass and were unable, they didn't try to eat anymore. Prior to this I had a planter which was bigger and heavier and they ate the grass.

Usually buy another organic grass product for my felines but since it's been OOS, decided to try this. Big mistake. Mold formed every time I tried to grow this and the grass that does come up only lasts for a few days + is very sparse compared to the product I usually buy. Please don't waste your money like I did (twice)
