FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which of your products are grain - free?

All of our products are grain - free except for Happy Hips and Vitality dry food for dogs, which contain nutritious whole grains and oats.

Are your products Organic?

While all of our products don’t meet the definition of Organic, we always strive to source the highest quality ingredients and produce them in a wholesome way.

Are your products natural?

Our products are natural with added vitamins and minerals. Natural is defined as a feed or ingredient derived solely from plant, animal or mined sources, either in its unprocessed state or having been subjected to physical processing, heat processing, rendering, purification extraction, hydrolysis, enzymolysis or fermentation, but not having been produced by or subject to a chemically synthetic process and not containing any additives or processing aids that are chemically synthetic except in amounts as might occur unavoidably in good manufacturing practices.

How long do your treats stay fresh after opening?

Our resealable bags are designed to lock in freshness and keep air out. To retain freshness and prolong shelf life, try removing all of the air inside the bag, tightly seal it and put it in the refrigerator.

Can I refrigerate your treats?

Yes, if you wish to do so you can refrigerate our treats. The only treats that require refrigeration after opening are the Artisan Meats Sliders and Deli Slices.

How should I store your food and treats?

Temperatures below 85°F and above 40°F are best to store our food and treats. It is best not to store pet food products in warm to hot conditions as this will increase the chances of rancidity and vitamin break - down. It is also not good to allow products to ‘freeze’ in cold conditions as this may change the textures of canned products.

How do I interpret the feeding guidelines on your packaging?

Our treats are intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only. They should not be used as a replacement for a complete and balanced diet, please treat responsibly. You should always observe your pets while they consume treats and provide them with plenty of water.

  • She Loves Happy Hips

    By on

My senior dog is very picky about her treats. I wanted to get her something to help her hips and legs, I could not get her to take anything. She’ll only eat chicken, so I’m glad I found these. now she’s getting chicken treats she loves and hopefully helping her hips at the same time. Chewy is the only place I go to for both my cats and dogs food and treats..

  • Great Value, Made in USA, Bit Tough

    By on

So awesome that these are made in the USA AND support hip and joint wellness. Dogs seem to love them! Great price, too! They are quite tough, too, and I cut them up with scissors for my Malteses. I generally prefer treats that can be easily broken up during our walks... that's ok. I still like them. I bought two bags so these will last them a very, very long time.

  • Great dog treats

    By on

I started using these treats for my dog's joints about a year ago and have actually noticed an improvement in his back leg movement. He actually does move around better than he did. He is a 13 year old Samoyed and a very happy dog. I used to buy these in the store so now I just add them to my Chewy order.

  • Way too salty!

    By on

These treats are unbelievably salty. As soon as I realized their taste I discontinued feeding them to my dogs. No wonder both my dachshunds were so thirsty after having their treat! I'm not buying this product again and I would recommend not selling this product anymore.

  • Excellent!

    By on

My friend has two older dogs that are beautiful, friendly, and very gentle. They are both suffering from joint pain in their legs. This treat not only has been helping with this, they also love it. Highly recommended with visible results.

  • Healthy Baby

    By on

These maybe great for a larger dog but are hard to chew for my mixed breed terrier who weighs 17lbs. I usually break a Jolly Joint into 3 parts for her, unfortunately they have been discontinued. I will continue to search for a replacement.

My girl, BJ, LOVES these jerky treats! She is a very picky soon-to-be 13 year old Rat Terrier. She is still very active and these seem to be helping her sometimes stiff mornings. Definitely try these for your dog!!!

  • Hyper Hips

    By on

I'm so glad to see these back on the market after being gone for so long. Our dogs love them so much, we call them "hyper hips" because they go nuts when they know they're going to get one.

I was pleasantly surprised that both of my picky fur devils enjoyed this new treat. There was a decent amount of jerky in the bag too! Very happy with this purchase and have already ordered more.
