Polkadog
Polkadog bakery all started as a tribute to Pearl. A stray that was found outside of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Pearl was missing an eye—which resulted in her having the funny habit of dancing from side to side whenever she stopped to say hello. It sort of looked like a polka dance, and so she earned the nickname of “Polka Dog” and quickly danced her way into the hearts of everyone she met. Her owners knew that Pearl deserved a little extra nurturing because of her tough past, and so to spoil her properly, they took to making her gourmet treats. Using only the finest ingredients around, they mixed and matched recipes, and baked a little love into every bite. It wasn’t long before polkadog bakery was born, and today, they still use the finest ingredients and prepare all of their delicacies by hand—and with love too, of course.
