I bought this and another bowl for my cats. Upon reading the reviews I was confident that it would work for cats but unfortunately it does not. At least not all cats. My cats hate it. One uses only his paw to get his kibble out. The other avoids it entirely. It is too deep. Replacing this bowl next purchase, will give to a friend with a dog. Otherwise, good quality bowl, great price. Nothing against the actual bowl, just not great for my cats.
My cat has always had an issue of eating too quickly when he is fed. So, when we were looking for solutions, we came across this product. My cat loves to play around obstacles, so it seemed like a perfect solution. As hoped, he loves it. It also slows down his eating to a point where we do not even have to break it into separate feedings anymore. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
We bought two of these bowls for our high-speed eaters. After the first use, our 4 month old Corgi had put a rip on the insert. He had finished and looking for more food his sharp teeth ripped the edge. We had to monitor the dogs while eating and remove the bowls immediately. One morning I got a phone call and had to step away for a few moments, unfortunately that is all my 8 month old Border Collie/Aussie mix needed, She had ripped the insert of her bowl into chunks and had started in on the one in the Corgi's bowl. In the end, if you have to watch your dog like a hawk while feeding them, this product is just not worth it. At least with the all plastic slow feed bowls if they decide to chew on them they hold up for much longer.
If you have a fast eater and worry about bloat with your pets you definitely need a slow feeder bowl like this one! My older dog eats very fast and this bowl really does slow her down without her getting frustrated. The food is still easily accessible and it’s raised in places just enough to slow them down. My favorite part about this slow feeder bowl is the silicone slow feeder part comes out and is very easy to wash and keep it clean. Overall a very good investment to make sure your dog doesn’t get bloat by eating too fast!
I have bought many different types of slow feed bowls for my 5 rescue dogs. I like this one because it is NOT plastic. The thing that is little aggravating is that the silicone slips off so easily and needs a firmer grip around the stainless steel bowl. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5 star, but that needs some work on the design.
I didn’t know how much I needed this slow feeder for my dog until my sister mentioned getting one for her. Ellie the dog will eat her entire bowl in 3-4 bites then head off to her brothers bowl to eat his. This slow feeder has changed out feeding routine in the best way possible! Now Ellie finishes her bowl after her brother giving him time to eat and not inhale it. Feeding time is more enjoyable for both of them. I would def recommend!
the paw slow feeder bowl works really good. it helps with your animal feeding so they dont choke on the food makes them eat less and slower. it also helps slow down an active dog or cat to eat more slowly so they can chill more
It’s a nice small bowl and our dog likes to eat really fast so it works that way. The only problem I’ve had is the silicone doesn’t stay on the bowl all the time. It’s not meant for bigger dogs. We have a 16 pound mix and it may be a little too small for her but we still use it. It’s better than what we did have. I would recommend for those who have smaller pups. I may try it for our cats and see how it works.
I got this for my office managers Chocolate Lab, she tends to be an eater and she also gets treats from everyone coming into the office. When I gave it to my manager she said oh good Lola will have to slow down. The bowl is a nice stainless steel and the silicone insert can be removed and replaced very easily.
A good bowl and it is really pretty cute with the paw print, but it doesn't do too much as far as slowing my puppy down. I do think it would be a great bowl for a dog that doesn't eat like it's the only meal it'll have this year.
