50 inches long? is that the base being 50×16? I don't understand at all. height 106, width16, length50??? it sure doesn't look like that. could you clarify our confirm?
Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2018
The over all size is 16 x 50 x 106 inches. The size of the base is 28 x 16 inches. The baskets stick out further than 28 inches, therefore the 28 inch base is not the overall dimension of the product.

What is the length of that top post? My ceiling is will not accommodate 106 but i Love the tree!
Answer by ChewyAug 03, 2018
The top post about 14 inches long. It's an adjustable post and can bring your tree from 92 inches to 106 inches.

my ceiling is 8 feet 6 inches ( so 102 inches), is the top post adjustable to fit that or is it just add the post to reach that height? also my cats are on the heavier side, 1 is almost 15lbs, is this a sturdy enough tree to support that?
Answer by ChewyJan 02, 2020
The top post about 14 inches long. It's an adjustable post and can bring your tree from 92 inches to 106 inches. The weight limit for this cat tree is 25-30 pounds.

Can you adjust the positions of the baskets so that they dont stick out so much? For example if i wanted to keep this pretty narrow (to the 16" width of the base) so it can fit between a window and a couch, would i be able to mess with the position of the baskets so they're tucked in more?
Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2019
The position of the baskets is adjustable.

Senior cats are not impressed

Our house cats spend all day in house during the winter( Chicago burbs) during the warms months they love to sunbath on the deck for hrs. They seemed gloomy, so we thought it was a good idea to buy the tree house to encourage their curiosity, it's been 2 weeks, they go through the tree house to get to the patio doors, and perfer to lay on the ground next to it.. :-\ maybe it's the quality, ID threads were stripped out, and a few of the scratch post string were unglued..we spent more time repairing the issues versa putting together..#regret

Does what I needed it to do!

I bought this tree because I have limited space in my apartment and needed more vertical levels. Works great for that! It took a while to install by myself (but doable), and as another reviewer noted, the ladders on the top two levels were more of a hinderance than a guidance for my cat. Some of the scratching post wrapping seems a little loose, but luckily there's plenty of them. Overall, pretty good piece.

Our cats love it!

We have five cats and they love this tower, but it wobbles when a cat jumps on and off it. So, My husband zip tied it. I think this cat tower is for little cats because the hammocks are smaller but our big cats love it, and it’s our small cat’s favorite tower now.

Sturdy and truly floor to ceiling!

Although I am sure the dimensions listed are right, I did not measure and it is way bigger than I anticipated! The cats love it and I was pleased with the assembly instructions, even though it took me several hours

Cats love it, but . . .

Even as I was unpacking this cat tree, my cats were all over it. The cats love it. One of my cats is in the top house as I write. There are problems, though. It is very time consuming to put together, and parts are very difficult to put together. There are so many places where you must put screws into things that you cannot see. The bottom ladder does not fit, as pictured or at all. It is extremely heavy and took two of us most of the day to put it together. My main concern with it is that it is top heavy. The base is too small to support the wonderful parts of this at the top. The top bracing pole cannot do enough. I was surprised that it did not come with stability straps to anchor into the wall. I will have to buy two and attach them to make it safe enough for my cats and peace of mind. I have large rocks on the base and even those are not enough. DO NOT use in earthquake areas without bracing straps. The other issue is that the directions are WAY TOO TINY. If they had been larger it would not have felt so stressful to put together. I had to use a magnifying glass and reading glasses. I am not very sight-impaired. Once I have weighted the bottom enough and put on 2 bracing straps, it will be the favorite of my 3 cat trees.

Don't buy unbalanced

Got it as a first tall tree for my cats. Very unstable and wobbly. I was and still am scared it will tip over. Had it for about a year now and is still standing but still very worried about tipping over. Don't buy!

Just buy 2 for high ceilings!

Here’s a picture of 2 sets I just put together in my own way to accommodate my high ceiling and give my kitties privacy inside their hotel rooms or they can lay on top and outside whenever they like. I just skipped all of the steps of installing all of the ladders and secured both of the towers together up top by installing the “penthouse” you can see the king himself inside there!

Oddly Shaped Cat Tree, broke in weeks

It's very awkward and tight, my cats have a hard time climbing up, especially my older cat. The ladders kind of block the way instead of aiding them climb, we had to take it off so they can jump up from top of one cave up to the top of the other. They also never get into the caves since there's two sissal bars in there, it's crammed in there even for my smaller cat. Also, quality is bad since one of the cat cave 'roof' already broke. I would not recommend this unless you have small framed cats or kittens. Frisco cat trees are more durable for big cats.

Love it! Awesome!

This thing is so cool!! I have 2 cats and one of them is super playful and the other not as much so I was worried my one cat wouldn't care for it so much but boy was I wrong! They both love it and play and lay on it al the time! I'm so glad I made this purchase! Other reviews were saying it was hard to assemble but as long as you follow directions you will be fine as 2 of the poles are about 1/2" longer so just don't get those 2 pieces confused! Also I have a scratching pad that my kitties refuse to use and love to scratch my couch and they have not scratched my couch once since getting this cat tower! I also love that the top piece is an option as my ceiling isnt that high!

Faux Fur Cat Tree & Condo a Major Disappointment

The instructions for assembly were very difficult to read and interpret. Some written direction, rather than just pictures, would have been helpful. A call line for help would have been useful. When I was putting it together I was confused about the identity of some of the pieces. The completed structure is not sturdy. I was glad I purchased it on sale.
