How exactly do the top posts attach to the ceiling? How would one go about doing that?

The two top posts in this cat tree are extendable and the overall height of the cat tree can be adjusted from 92" to 106". In this way, the height of the cat tree is extended to the exact floor-to-ceiling height of the customer's place, so the ceiling also helps make the cat tree more stable. No drilling to the ceiling is needed so the cat tree would not damage the ceiling.

I have 10 ft. ceilings in my home. 106in is just over 8.6 ft tall. Is there any way I can buy extensions so that I can use this item in my home or will it be ok to use without attaching to the ceiling.

At this time the manufacturer does not have extensions for sale. Attaching the tree to the ceiling is 100% optional.

Does the top pillars have to be screwed into the ceiling?

The top pole can be attached to the ceiling for added structure and balance, but are not necessary for the stability of the tree.

How tall does the cat tree measure to the top of the upper condo house where the adjustable ceiling posts are attached? (What is the total height of the cat tree minus the top posts?)

Without the top posts, the height is 92 inches.

Lots of choices for my cats!

I really love how many areas there are for my cats to get on. The downside is that they are not large spaces so if you have a larger cat then it's too small. The

I really love how many areas there are for my cats to get on. The downside is that they are not large spaces so if you have a larger cat then it's too small. The other downside is that the bar for the top bracing pokes through the fabric and you have to do something else to keep it from scratching your ceilings. I used rubber half moon door stops. Other that those two things, it's great.

Not made for all cats

Do not buy. One of the pieces came broken and more importantly, this cat tree is made for small cats and kittens. My average sized, full grown cats can’t fit in

Do not buy. One of the pieces came broken and more importantly, this cat tree is made for small cats and kittens. My average sized, full grown cats can’t fit in the baskets or cubbies despite their best efforts to get comfortable. It’s so unfortunate. I regret buying.

worth every penny

This takes about an hour and a half to put up. It’s worth every minute… every dime…. I have another cat tree but this one is just so nice. My cats jumped up in it

This item comes in a lot of pieces and needed to be assembled, of course. The instructions were reasonably easy to follow, however. Each item is listed, along with the quantity of each; the rest consisted of step by step images of assembly from the bottom up. I found this easier to follow than badly worded written instructions . And my cats love it, they were climbing all over it as I was assembling it. The whole thing is quite sturdy and the tension of the top pieces against the ceiling make it very stable.

I got this thing 2 days ago and the “instructions” are of no help. I put all the pieces in groups as it suggested but it never turns out right, things don’t match
